Did Sports section of BR Advocate mention it?

And it’s best they not mention it. Or at least say that BR police officers formally accused of x have been completely exonerated. (No mention of the player’s name.) He’s just an excitable young kid.

He has nothing to lose anyway, O won’t take an interview with him to begin with lol

No, people want justice and accountability. You want people to accuse you of shite at your daily job you didn't do and not get in trouble? I guess we can accuse anyone of anything these days if we fit the liberal criteria.

I agree but there are ways to do that without tearing the locker room apart again. OP advocates a public evisceration of the player

I 110% agree that what he did was shitty and should be held accountable. But we do not need to light another match and throw it on the gas can.

They saw the tape.

Very believable. Do you think they had any reason to stop and detain Moore? They were there to look for a loud party with 200 people and instead found two 18 year old boys and no music.

Tell Moore’s lawyers to advocate that the tape be released to the public in its entirety do we all can see what happened.

Koy Moore is a product of what is going on in America today. He's just a kid but this was a complete bitch move. The mayor and police chief aren't making things better by not pointing out the hypocrisy.

There are multiple pending public records requests for the body cam video so I suspect BRPD will finally comply with the requests now the administrative proceedings are over.

I agree with most of your post. But I’m so GD tired of hearing that word used to describe an adult who should know right from wrong at this point. He’s old enough to live on his own, then he’s old enough to know right from wrong.

Yes, young people make mistakes. We all did dumb shite from ages 18-25 or so. But quit calling these athletes “kids.” They’re adults who should be held accountable when they frick up. Should it ruin their lives? No, unless they ruin someone else’s life in the process. But when you frick up, you should face the consequences.

Footage should be released before any punishment given to him.

SIAP LINK

quote:

"We take these allegations seriously and will await the findings of the investigation," Broome said at the time. "We will get to the bottom of this situation and keep the lines of communication open with the community."

quote:

Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul cleared the officers following a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday, but he then refused to disclose any information about the case, including the outcome of the hearing, which is public record. Instead of releasing the information, Paul through a spokesman directed The Advocate to file a public records request, which will likely take weeks or months to fill.

So much for those open lines of communication with the community...

That said, this is a teachable moment for a young man who can someday be a leader.

It should be a teachable moment for the Baton Rouge community as a whole and really society in general but that would involve people actually talking about what the guy did wrong and having a legitimate race and police abuse conversation in this country instead of both sides standing in their corners just yelling at each other.
