I would say this Auburn matchup is pretty good for us.

They play two little baby tiny guards even smaller than ours and they both shoot very poorly from 3.

Looked at their schedule and who they played/beat/lost to...not all that impressive. Now they haven't lost by 40 to anyone, but they haven't played Bama yet.

We can play with these guys and I think we will.

Their offense hasn't been very good (though significantly better than LSU's). Where they have won this season as been on defense. Opponents are shooting ~40% against them. More importantly, Auburn is one of the better shot blocking teams in the country (thought that number has dropped in SEC play)

They have arguably played the weakest SEC schedule to date. Particularly with only two road games. In the first they got handled pretty well by an average Georgia team. In the second they beat an Ole Miss team that might be the worst team in the SEC.

Auburn is going to play hard. They are going to play a lot of guys. They are going to be athletic. Still, it's a HOME game which should give LSU a shot.

I haven't loved LSU's body language over the last three games. After playing hard and well in the first two SEC games, they got outworked by A&M and never responded. They then played poorly against Florida in an ugly game, before seemingly conceding defeat before they even stepped on the floor at Alabama.

I'm interested to see tomorrow if this team has any fight in them in what is a winnable game. Do that, and you'll probably see people show up on Saturday for a top 10 opponent in Tennessee.

That has been something we haven't been doing consistently since SEC play started and that HAS to change.

And you are right on the body language. Not a good sign.

If CMM can get that fixed Auburn is a team we can play with.

I hope so but it would be a pretty big upset.

Commenting as an Auburn fan.

I don't care what KenPon says right now any conference road win is huge.

We have already seen a few conference upsets and I will count Georgia beating Auburn in that.

When you say that Auburn is overrated that may be true. They may not be the #21 team in the country and might finish the season out of the Top 25, but the ranking is used based on other teams and where you fit in.

You can only be #21 if they feel like everyone else is lower than that. Now as far as Auburn is concerned. We had some early injuries and had some guys that are playing into shape. The scoring has been a lot more balanced on the floor the last couple of games.

I honestly feel like now we have 4 legit players to give us double-digits every night. We will still play 9-11 players most nights, but We have tighten some of our rotations a bit. So some guys are seeing the floor less and when they are on the floor they have been asked to shoot under control.

It should be a good game. For Auburn most of us see it as an important game and I hope the team sees it like that also. Auburn has a 28 Straight game home winning streak but I do not expect that to last. We have home games with both Bama and Tennessee. Just a split would be a huge get for this team that probably does not have a 1st round pick on the floor this year. We had one in 19, 20, 21 and two in 22.

Are you willing to put your money where your mind is? Not with me...I wouldn't bet either way on this team.

Don’t count this gang out. We lost in final second prior to OT to K-State, who just knocked off #2 Kansas.

The refs raped us in Cayman and lost in regulation. Should have gone to OT or replayed last play. The way that game ended still pisses me off. Never seen anything like it.

Also, if you are a gambler, LSU line will probably have value after that performance Saturday.

You are damned right it does. I'm all over Auburn laying only 5 points.

Be careful. It's VERY difficult to win on the road in the SEC, and teams can look like garbage one game, and world beaters the next.

Lolol. Yea anyone who said this team was good or tourni bound should ban themselves for posting or even texting for a while. Maybe we keep this one within 30 points though.
