What the frick is this?
They’re called stats, genius. The reason for the Twitter handles is because it is copied from an LSU basketball tweet and since it is easy to tell which players are which I chose not to edit it.
Sorry, not sorry you can’t interpret something that simple.

Wade’s aversion to true PG’s after Waters left is perplexing
You don't need a true pass first high assist PG when you have so many guys who can score 1 on 1. If you get enough true scorers, getting just a ball handling pg who isn't good offensively is kind of pointless.

There hasn’t been a team under Wade with a bunch of guys that can score 1 on 1. Basically just his two guards which is why Adam Miller getting hurt is huge. That is how Wade initiates offense.
Most of the 3rd & 4th scorers under Wade have been guard-dependent on getting open shots or in transition.

I don’t believe anything Wade says regarding who is going to shoot well. He always over sells it
Should we believe you?
Lester earl: seneca knight will be one of the leading scorers.
Seneca knight couldn't even make the damn team.

2018-19 had Waters, Mays, Smart, Naz
2019-20 had Mays, Smart, Watford, Manning and Bishop
Last year had Cam, Smart, Watford, Gaines and Cook
Wade’s teams have more 1 on 1 guys than most in college basketball.

Not sure if serious with some of these. James Bishop? Gaines? Cook? Manning?

Manning scored most of his points off the dribble in the midrange, Bishop was a 19ppg scorer with over 5 assists per game last season at GW, Gaines and Bishop are shot creators who create offense off the dribble.

There's alao plenty of good cleanup guys. Point is you don't need ball distributing PG when you have guys who can score with ease.
I mean we've had one of the top offenses in the country almost every year under Wade. No idea why anyone would question why he is hesitant to find a pass first offensively challenged PG. That's not the way a lot of basketball is played anymore. Just watch the NBA. Look how guys like Rajon Rondo basically become more and more useless over time despite being all star type picks a decade ago.

sorry, I’m still laughing
James Bishop?
Eric Gaines? The guy that shot 22% last year?

Lester hated Tremont Waters and dogged him everyday but now he wants more players like Waters? He’ll say anything to trash Wade.
Posted on 10/24/21 at 4:45 pm to Lester Earl
You’re obviously ignorant and I dunno why I’m discussing basketball with someone who knows absolutely nothing about the sport but Bishop averaged 19ppg and 5 assist last season. A player’s limited opportunities don’t have anything to do with the type of player he is. Gaines’ shooting% also has nothing to do with the type of player he is. You don’t know anything so your knowledge is limited to reciting stats devoid of any context. You’re a moron

It doesn’t have to be a “pass first” PG.
The best teams have high IQ, highly efficient ball handlers who make the extra pass. Surrounded by multiple above average shooters.
LSU’s offense under Wade have been
fun but it’s not one that is anything more than a S16 outfit. Too many bad, contested shots. Not enough 3pt shooters. Not enough extra passes to open guys. Hard to win when the game condenses against good teams.

I’m trying to understand what James Bishop at George Washington has to do with my point bro
Gaines was a trash offensive player last year. Like not good at all.
What are you thinking here?

So when does the real season begin ?

well not that hard, as wade leads the SEC in wins over the last 3 years

1 on 1 players or guys who can create their offense off the dribble is the topic not stats or shooting % of players that didn’t get a lot of minutes. Bishop creates offense with the ball in his hand, Gaines does also, they are not catch and shoot players or slashers who start without the ball. We’ve had more than most in college who can do that, what you’re saying is incorrect.

Wade is fine but at some point needs to take the next step on-court to match his recruiting prowess. Last year underachieved severely. The year before was a poorly organized roster. If you want to be completely honest about him.

How does Madking quantify this ? I am just curious

Underachieving last season was due to switching to zone defenses. When we went back to man at halftime vs Kentucky we played a lot better and the results bore that out. The roster construction had major issues after we lost our 2 best defensive bigs and our best wing and overall defender. I think Wade did make mistakes in trying to go zone and refusing to matchup against other bigs with the bigs we did have available both before and after we lost the 7 footer and O’Neal but our problems had nothing to do with offense.
