agreed. Gaines will be used to relieve Pinson. I don't see him being the primary ball handler. I was surprised to not see Justice Williams I guess he's banged up too.

It doesn’t have to be a “pass first” PG.

The best teams have high IQ, highly efficient ball handlers who make the extra pass. Surrounded by multiple above average shooters.

LSU’s offense under Wade have been
fun but it’s not one that is anything more than a S16 outfit. Too many bad, contested shots. Not enough 3pt shooters. Not enough extra passes to open guys. Hard to win when the game condenses against good teams.
'

Again, we have among the top offenses in the country every year under Wade. You have zero room to complain there. Calling it a "S16 offense" if downright stupid. We have lost way way way more games due to defense over offense.

You seem to be complaining to simply complain (surprise surprise) with no way to backup anything you're saying. On one hand you're saying we should have some pass first "intelligent" ball handling PG, which we clearly havent needed under Wade at all really with so many natural scorers and clean up guys...and have some of the top offenses in the country every season as a result.

I mean we just put up 74 in this exhibition with quite literally more than half the scholarship players out (7/13), including the majority of the would be starters (Miller, Days, Reid, Pinson). Wade's system offensively works pretty well, if you cant figure it out.

Yep. James Bishop. You got me

Look up James Bishop at GW. Averaged almost 20 points and had like 5 assists to 3.5 turnovers a game last year. He is exactly what he was talking about, obviously just didnt play much here in his 1 season. Bishop was another just mostly pure scorer at PG. He wasn't some high assist or good assist/turnover type of 'smart' PG. Wade wants scorers first and foremost.

This from the fricking moron that talked endlessly about how important Seneca knight was going to be, and apparently still would be, for this year’s lsu team because he scored 17 ppg on terrible percentages for a 7-24 team.

Not being negative. Miller is just a huge loss & there are now a ton of questions for this team now because of it. Lack of shooting, lack of initiators. A ton of players that haven’t played a minute of college basketball

I’m excited, just a lot less than I was

This is a poor offensive lineup

Now i think I've heard it all .

What a goober.

Tried telling LE Knight was a questionable early transfer take and of course he challenged all along the way right up until he transferred out of here. The guy wouldnt have played much at all and thats why he transferred. He was never really any good to begin with (just a volume guy on a terrible team) and he quickly realized if he stayed here his playing time would be quite a bit less than what he was leaving. Funny he's still trying to defend him.

I know what Bishop did last year.

He played 137 minutes for LSU. Irrelevant to what we are talking about.

Knight will get minutes on a tournament team, and play well. Lot of positives coming out about him at BYU.

LSU wishes they had another offensive-minded veteran on this team now. Guarantee that.

3rd team all conference as a sophomore. Lol

Yet you think an already maxed out Pinson is going to turn into Jason Kidd of a sudden lol

I think you missed the point which was Bishop was exactly like a lot of other players Wade recruits, which is score first guys. That's what he is. He isn't some "smart" great ball handler like you've been talking about what you want to see Wade "recruit". The reason he mentioned him is precisely because he fitted the typical Wade mold of score first, who kind of really cares about ball handling guards Wade likes to recruit. Just because he didnt show that in his limited freshman year doesnt mean he wasn't right.

How can you say poor offensive lineup??????

Pinson averaged 14 points per game last year.
Mwani and Brandon should give us a combined 15-16 per game minimum.
Days will give us at least 14 points and 8 rebounds.
Eason will be a double double machine also more than likely giving us around 12 and 10.
Reid should give us around 15 and 8.

At the minimum the above starting rotation will give us around 64-65 points per game.

Add on

Erica Gaines can give us 7-8 points per game
Alex Fudge can give us 6-7 points per game
Justice Williams can give us 4-5 points per game
O'neal hopefully gets healthy and gives us 4-5 points per game.
Ezewiro gets healthy and gives us 3-4 points per game.

You're following pre-season random blurbs on BYU still trying to Knight up for Knight (Cant just admit you were wrong)? Again, he wasnt good enough to play much here, it's why he transferred. The moment he went back into the portal the guys in the know who were asked straight up said "it's a playing time move", he was worried he wouldnt play much here.

Again, volume player on a bad team. Not sure how many times I have to say it and you refuse to acknowledge this. He was a low percentage 6'6 swing guy at SJSU. He got 17ppg because he took of pure volume pretty much. He was good getting to the line, but thats about all you can really say about him. He shot sub 30% from 3 his entire time at SJSU, he was a 42% 2 point guy which isn't exactly great for a 6'6 swing man, he rebounded about how you would expect a 6'6 swing guy to rebound on a mid-major with practically no one else who could rebound well. Not sure what you saw in him. But hey, huge congrats to him getting THIRD TEAM all-conference because of some volume he had on a crap team. Where did that get him here? To the portal.

Point totals are useless without context

Who will shoot the 3 well & space the floor

Who is going to set up players that rely on assisted buckets to get points, ie days & likely Reid, amongst others

Pinson has not been an efficient scorer in 3yrs of SEC play

Wilkinson & Gaines do not look like offensive contributors

Justice Williams should still be in high school, but I’d love for him to develop quickly

No, his very first post was about guys who were scorers first and work 1 on 1 alot, which Bishop was. Stop trying to move goalposts every time you lose on something.

Lol wrong.

20/6/2

.421/.345/.810 in conference

Got to the line 7x a game

You don’t know what a volume player is. shite you prob knighted for Cam Thomas all last year

I follow a ton of college basketball accounts. It’s not like byu is some irrelevant school. They’ve been ranked every year under Mark Pope

And yes, when he plays well you will hear about it.
