It sounds like LSU woulda paid 100k CEO just to come be a tour guide. The staff is killing it right now! So many big names and so much positivity coming out of the program.

That's all great but it's also meaningless until the players sign on the line which is dotted.

Also for those that keep up with recruiting more than I do, how often do players say negative things during/after an official visit? Like how often do players say ”yeah it wasn’t that great” after they just got an all expenses paid trip in which they were treated like royalty?

100% agree with you but this is such a 180 from last year and maybe not this class but these reels and clips all over social media that do create buzz, clicks, and shares on social media do matter a ton with todays young people. These kids can name you more tik tok influencers, kick, twitch, youtube streamers than they can name you NFL players at their own position.

Even if they sign on dotted line they can always jettison out through the transfer portal

I mean yes the dollars are certainly the most important thing now, but you can't say that tradition, coaches, campus, facilities, etc. don't matter.
Like if two schools are right around the same number, kids are going to take into consideration all the other factors, so those have to be top notch as well.

Sorry but as great a recruiter CEO is. It’s all about NIL. Same reason I didn’t care if Frank Wilson left.
