From competing for a title again, it’s baseball and anything can happen but it’s probably the correct assessment

With White and Travinski gone? They're literally our only consistent hitters.
Other than Jones, the sophomore class has turned out to be a bunch of duds. The only way this team is a year away is if they bring in 8 new transfers.

This is embarrassing. We needed to bounce back this weekend but instead are establishing a trend. Lose 3 or 4 more series and "its just baseball" ain't going to cut it again.

Not getting the transfer Montgomery from Stanford is the difference in this being a great team or a good to average team.

And that is 100% ok. You can’t replace what we had to replace and keep the status quo from a championship squad. 16-18 SEC wins is both realistic and commendable for this squad.

Our first five series were always going to be very tough given what we lost and the youth of our team plus the SEC inexperience on the staff.

Unfortunately, it’s just not realistic.
Although they are talented, this team is not elite. I am still waiting to see how the season plays out, and am going to see if they improve before rushing to any judgement. A lot can happen between now and the regional. I am not melting yet.

Gonna lose great players every year, but there is a transfer portal. That's how you got White. That's how Florida got Colby Shelton.

Would have been massive. That guy is incredible this season.
Imagine the difference he would make.
I wish we hit on some bigger bats in the portal this offseason.

It's going to take some dedicated player development for this team to be successful. Having 13 players drafted validates how GOOD & EXPERIENCED last year's NCs were. Hard to replace all of that talent in one cycle. Our best baseball is still ahead of us. CJJ & his staff must put these players - at the plate, in the field and on the mound - in positions to improve and help the team win.
