Since then, Sean Ochinko has guided LSU to the two lowest production years since Mainieri's first season in Baton Rouge.

So why’d you say Ochinko hasn’t been teaching anything different than past hitting coaches in another thread but now it’s somehow his fault?

Do you honestly think that Ochinko was teaching them something different than the last 4 hitting coaches?

So, if he made less, would it be ok?

Well that is one way you can look at it, Or you can look at it the way it was intended which is, he is overpaid for the job he is doing!

Nothing to do with performing better if he made less, it is he is being overpaid for his current performance

He makes WAY too much money to run this program into the ground.

CWS runner up followed by a regional and super regional appearance, this program really is going down the shitter.

Edit: for some reason I only remember the two games against Oregon St. and keep thinking it was a super.

You lack foresight if you want your athletic director directing head coaches on who to hire / fire for assistant coaches

We are seeing much more parity in college baseball now. You are going to see ebbs and flows, based on which kids come to campus and stay healthy and how players are developed.

On the other hand, we absolutely need to improve in most areas, especially in player development. I'm not buying that we're very far behind anyone consistently. Rather, we're consistently in the mix. It's time for a breakthrough season that takes us deep into the Omaha bracket, though. Don't forget, you do need a little opportune luck to get over the hump sometimes when teams are so even.

We were tested by the 3 and 4 Seeds and got absolutely embarrassed by OSU. LSU was outscored 26 - 1 in the 2 games. Yes, 26 -1.

Nobody said that, but it is LSU baseball, why not once every six years or so?

Are you under the impression that him teaching Mainieri's system and him sucking are mutually exclusive ideas?
