At that point, it wasn't so much about the matchup. He was over 90 pitches and had given up 2 runs in the inning already. Just wasn't as sharp. Oh well.

I'm not sure you can put the blame there on CPM, Poche was cruising at a good pitch count, he fell apart quick.

To be fair here that hitter had 2 hr all year and you wouldn't really be worried about him usually.

Sometimes I'm just not sure going with the "lefty/righty" thing is worth leaving a pitcher in who is showing signs of being done.

His strike 2 curve was filthy. It was a bad pitch but leaving him in verse a lefty with minimal power... just give the kid credit.
