That's reasonable. But a detail oriented coach wouldn't assume he knows it. He would make sure.

This team is such a dumpster fire. It's a dumpster fire that reeks of being poorly coached. Bad decisions, no composure, no plate discipline. Paul has checked out and our assistant coaches are a bunch of lackeys who weren't even good as players.
This is an embarrassment. Rip the bandaid off and fire him before this gets worse. We'll be lucky to make the postseason as a three seed.

I gotta agree that it's not on coaching there if you're only going to blame hilliard. But coaches should be working with the catchers to make sure they take control for ANY PFP. Garza had better have been yelling his arse off to let it go.

I highly doubt Paul hasn’t told them “hey if it’s rolling foul let it go”.
Even if he hasn’t it’s common sense that every college baseball player should know
