If they dont come out tomorrow and compete, and keep it close, then sadly, they are dead

I said this earlier in the thread tonight, but unless they need him to hold a lead tomorrow, I'd save Hess and start him game 3. And honestly, if Henry is shut down for the season (what my gut tells me), using Hess like Louis Coleman back in 2008 may be the best option we have to scrape together enough wins to finish out the season.

Maybe we will get a Trendon Watford commitment this weekend to offset tonight.

it's a nice buffer between baseball and football, but if I'm honest, basketball just doesn't do it for me like the other two sports. Basically, I don't get depressed when the basketball team sucks

And personally I would rather basketball over baseball if I was forced to choose. I love the game of baseball and it was always my best sport. It's just the least fun to watch IMO.

Well I love watching golf too, I guess I'm weird like that

But seriously, I became more of an NBA guy with the Grizzlies being in Memphis and going to a lot of the games, which kind of ruined the college game for me a bit. And now the Grizzlies have ruined the NBA for me by letting the whole team go and trying to lose on purpose

think it was Cotton that made the comparison to an NBA team that's overly confident and only flips the switch when needed. I think it's a great analogy. It's almost as if we expect to go out there and just win on talent alone. There's no emotion. No fire and everything is just flat.

Except the performances on the mound are not up to snuff to begin thinking this could happen. Hilliard did himself no favors in the 3rd not letting that roller to 1B go foul. These guys collectively make a lot of poor decisions most games. Catcher position is substandard and doesn't help the pitching staff and the lineup most games struggles in the bottom half. Composition of this team needs improvement in many areas. I hope the wheels don't come off totally but a lot of recent games have been a shite show. Things have to change, never seen so many ineffective arms as this team is carrying and weak bats that play due to lack of better options.

This doesn’t bother me that much
He felt the pressure & tried to get the out on a kid that was fast
Should it have happened, no, but it was the most minor of the goof ups
In my opinion
