It just kills me that coaches get fired for losing games like this, but umpires just smile and walk away while the SEC office protects their incompetent arses.

If we have a hitting team we never get in this situation. They outhit us and out pitched us tonight. I am worried this is what we see all year, especially after watching half of the two games between Fla. and SC. We really can't compete against them like in the past.
PM is over his head again I am afraid. Maybe we have a miracle happen and we turn it around the rest of the weekend.

I don't have a problem, with him going home there. It was going to be our best chance of scoring.
the guy coming up next hit one in his last at bat that still hasn't landed yet

According to the radio, they had never heard of this joker of an umpire...now, they aren't going to forget him

Definitely not a terrible call. For all of the legitimate criticism of Javier, you are off the mark. Pretty telling of what your opinion Is worth IMO.

We had Jones coming up who smashed one his last AB out of the park. You play it safe there not gamble everything on that, fricking stupid. The home plate ump fricked us all night, you don't essentially put it on him to decide the game there.
And please stop following me around, it's getting pathetic now. We get it, you hate me. Get over it.

you dont know that javi sent him. in fact if i had to bet my money would be on fields going on his own.
and lets be frank, he made the right decision.

you're such a fricking retard. granted, looking back, Fields probably went on his own, but I don't agree with it in either case.
eta: I mean I think you're retarded for the way you shoot down the guy's opinion, not because you disagree.

I'm pretty sure Javi wasn't waiving him around. Everyone pretty much knew it was an easy ground out and Fields just kept running like you're suppose to do with 2 outs. That's how I picture it.

If Fields went on his own he should be chastised. You never run your way out of an inning like this. Especially with Jones up next who TAGGED one out of the park previous AB. You don't leave it up to that POS behind the plate to make a critical call when you know he's been slanted one way all game. Play smart baseball there. I know it's a bang bang decision, but you gotta keep the communication up.

so its fields fault for being safe but not predicting the umpire would blow the call terribly?
