Hate having our players wear those dumb looking oven mits when they get on base. Your hands are not going to get stepped on when you slide head first into the base.

That’s my rant for the day.

ETA: Im not scared of the downvotes. I say what needs to be said

So even if it protects them, you want to get rid of them for aesthetics?

I guess we have to find something to complain about when it's 9-0 in the second inning.

Yeah pretty much. It’s an unnecesry protection. How many people hurt their hands each year while on the base path? Exactly.

Yea because I really want Daniel Cabrera to break his hand sliding into a base.

And they aren’t going to get jammed into the base.

Forget that it protects them sliding into the base. Hey don’t wear them and get hurt.

Quite a few actually.

I would rather them wear the damn oven mitts than lose a guy for the season over some dumb shite. All LSU needs is a guy getting his hand broken by spikes.

Or dislocated fingers sliding into a base or a player. I've had a badly dislocated finger. It doesn't feel good and it takes a long time to get it back to normal.

While you’re at it, tell them to stop wearing elbow protectors.

And those silly shin guards.
