Broke 4th metacarpal in my left hand sliding back to first base head first on a pick off attempt my junior year. If I was still playing today I wouldn’t wear em, looks stupid. If it protects so much why not wear em on both hands, is it taught now to slide into a base headfirst with one hand? Btw, anyone have that gameboy baseball game in the early 90s when the play was close it would zoom in and you can change the hand to go away from the tag?
