The mitts should be 60 feet long and furled up. You stand on the base you occupy, unfurl your mitt and voila, you just stole the next base.

225 Tyga, I agree with you on this one. Sports are becoming watered down. A.D. hurts his little pinky, “I think I’ll sit out 8 games while my pinky heals”. Give me a break. This past year we had an NFL stubbed his toe. Out for 4 weeks. Maybe we should give them colors and coloring books on the bench to ease their little feelings. God forbid we have any men playing men sports.

Gavin Dugas missed a good portion of his senior year due to a compound fractured finger, sliding into home. Ugly or not, it does prevent finger injuries.

Accidents happen. If a player doesn’t want to possibly get a part of their body hurt, don’t play !!! Take up checkers or chess, or go to the library.

While I have no problem with the oven mitts and I think the OP is dumb, I believe Dugas actually wears one and they dont protect the thumb which is where is ligament is torn.
