If Saban had been at LSU all this while we would absolutely have more national championships.

No shite. We dont have saban.

You don't remember how shitty Alabama was pre-Saban?

Yeah i do. But once they got a coach they knew could win titles theu broke the bank making their program and Saban's bank account better.
quote:

There is a huge history of Alabama football being absolute shite too

bullshite. Their gaps between being great and sucking are far far less than every other sec program because when they get great coaches they spend money on everything.
If you think LSU wouldve spent the money Bama has during the bama saban era youre crazy.
quote:

It has nothing to do with anything other than they have Saban and he puts together ridiculous recruiting classes and is a tremendous coach..

If this were true then Saban wouldve won at lsu the rate he has at bama and it just isnt true. If it were only Saban then bama wouldnt have huge tradition of titles. They have 20+ sec titles in football. You think it's only coaching?

Look i cant stand the bama fans but id be lying to myself if i didnt acknowledge that when they get a great coach they go all in and never say no to anything the football program needs.

Harris was 13 of 19 with 2 TDs versus Florida's D.

That was a solid game.

He has shown flashes.. It was his first season starting.. He was also playing with the Sports Hernia issue we knew nothing about. I felt he looked a big slower this past season, perhaps that affected him some.

Regardless he should have a natural progression as a 2nd year starter.. 3rd year in the program.

Mett (who was a class ahead of him) had a very similar first year starting stats.. He showed flashes versus Alabama, but he was mediocre the majority of his JUNIOR first year starting.. Harris was a SOPHOMORE.. Mett 3rd year in the program and as SENIOR.. finally put it all together and had a great season. I expect Brand Harris to continue to improve.

Exaclty. Just Harris being older and knowing more of the playbook should make him more efficient.

How u figure the passing will get better? None of the personel has changed

You dont think qbs can get better with age and experience?
We watched JLee go from being a int machine to be a very efficient qb.
We saw JRuss go from having a very average 2005 (worse than jj in 2009)to having the best passing season in lsu history. We saw Flynn go from being benched in 05 to being a qb we could lean on in 2007.

He was basically a redshirt freshman. In what football universe is that a lot of time?

Before he got banged up against bama he was the 2nd in the sec in qb rating. Thats pretty good for true sophomore

To be fair, he said 7th in the SEC, not in the west.

I still don't understand why most people don't get this. ^^^^^^^^

The kid was a FIRST YEAR STARTER as a true sophomore. This is not the NFL. Kids actually get better the longer they're in the program because they're still developing. Harris will be better in 2016. Will he be as good as Mett was his last year........................? That remains to be seen. But he WILL be better.

Barrett Sallee downs LSU on EVERY ONE of his stories on Bleacher Report and on the Finebaum show. It's almost like something personal happened to him as a result of Les Miles' program.

Look up the stats for true sophomore QBs in the SEC, he is well above average.

If you actually knew anything about football or did some research, you may not be so negative.

If lsu has such shite playcalling how did we finish 4th in the sec in offensive yards per game and 3rd in the sec in offensive points per game?

Situational playcalling leaves much to be desired. Those are about as misleading as stats can be.

Guy writes for Bleacher Report. I'm not surprised he said that.
