Anyone who thinks this game will be a blowout in LSU’s favor is delusional. Bama is a damn good team and are extremely well coached (just as LSU is). I will be happy with a 1 point LSU win. I expect a nail biter.

This game won’t be a blowout either way. Going to come down to the last minute.

Why people feel Bama has no players that start for us is confusing to me. They have multiple defensive players that would start for us.
Raekwon Davis-what have our DEs shine that makes us feel a probable 1st or second day pick wouldn't challenge them?
Terrell Lewis/Anfernee Jennings-i know it won't be popular but both of these kids have contributed more than Chiasson ever has. Chiasson may be the more talented kid but production matters
Xavier McKinney-hes a better S than Stevens or anyone else we line up beside Delpit. His addition would allow Delpit more versatility.
Not even gonna get to the OL, wrs(though debatable) and RBs. Bama hasn't lost all their talent. Don't fool yourselves. That roster loaded with #1 recruiting class talent.

I'm a realist but I am amazed at how many of our fans can't imagine us winning this game. Fan base is so beat down by Bama many of our fans just can't wrap their minds around this team having a credible shot to beat Bama. Why are so many of our fans so eager to predict a loss? There's no upside. If we lose big deal, more of the same - it doesn't make you a genius. When we win you will look like a loser cuck and have no credibility.

TL/DR: Err on the side of optimism.

Even in years that LSU has clearly been the better team, I’ve never seen what I’d call a blowout.

I was there in 2001 to watch the Davey/Reed combo run all over Bryant-Denny. Final: 35-21

My dad has told me that in 1982, LSU ran up and down the field all day on Bama. Final score: 20-10

I agree on the blowout but the other way around. Bama is gonna smoke us again this year. Until I see otherwise I just cannot believe we have a realistic chance to beat Bama.

If you are a Gump.. good trolling. If part of the Shadow Staff another commission check earned.. well done! If really a LSU fan....

2001 game would have been a 30+ point blowout if we did not turn the ball over three times, twice in the red zone.

1982 was because we were so conservative on offense. LINK This was Jerry Stovall coaching. Great person, excellent recruiter, great player in his day. But awful tactician, bench coach and no leader of a program. We still held Bama to TOTAL OF 119 Yards of Offense in an absolute beat down. Even with our offense Alan Risher had over 200 yards total yards. Score did not truly reflect how bad of a beat down we put on them. We had raw talent with Hilliard, James, Eric Martin and company to overcome unimaginative play calling and pedestrian coaching.

In 1997 Kevin Faulk destroyed Bama's defense with 168 yds rushing in a 27-0 beat down. 2003 we spanked them. Matt Mauck had a more than nice game. We outgained them over 400 yards to 219 for them in a 27-3 beat down.

Yeah we have busted them up good in the past and all of the beat downs have been in Tuscaloosa or in B-ham at old Legion field. I remember all of the beat downs, even the '82 one quite well. LSU has historically played better vs Bama in the state of Alabama than at TS.

No way. If there is a blow out it will Bama doing it to us. I don’t think that happens, but I also don’t believe we win. LSU loses by 10+
