I am not going to get caught up in any conspiracy debates. I just think the refs calling SEC games are horrible across the board. It's not just LSU fans bitching, every team's fans are complaining. But what I found so amusing was I caught Finebaum...yea yea...on College Football Live yesterday and he was asked specifically about Ritter & his crew. He rolled his eyes & went on a semi rant about how good the league's refs are, the stringent evaluation process they are put through, stated that Ritter in particular was one of the best refs in the league. But to cap it off, he said "I am good friends with Steve Shaw & he runs THE..his emphasis...officiating program in the country."

for some reason i have hope that this year we are the SEC's golden child. I believe they would like us to remain undefeated and Fournette to win the heisman.

ARTICLE 3. a. A ball not in player possession, other than a kick that scores a field goal, is out of bounds when it touches the ground, a player, a game official or anything else that is on or outside a boundary line.

out of bounds-dead ball

Can you provide a link to the rule where it says the ball is dead?

Can you show anything that shows Julio touching the ball while out of bounds?

ETA: don't even bother responding, because there is absolutely nothing.

Ritter is and has been the worst ref in the SEC for years. He is the only one whose name I know. He is consistently horrible and controls the game through his penalties. He calls it unlike anyone else. Teams need to start preparing for a Ritter called game. It is that obvious.

Finebaum is a joke and thank you for providing some more proof.

I call BS. We've had this discussion before that it is impossible for the general public to find out the officiating crew for any game prior to that game.

Well, they shouldn't be able to find out unless the crew is talking. But every college ref I know can tell you their schedule and weekends off.

Nothing in that link shows Julio touched it. Excellent effort though. Can you post one screen cap anywhere that shows it? Again, you shouldn't even bother trying.

If that int was a bama player he would have been gone. That penalty last year was bs and Untill they increase playoffs to the 5 power 5 champs plus a wild card n a 6 team format (8 better but 6 will happen sooner than 8) people will wander about each conference officials worrying so much about their champ missing out and if it effects a close game. If we beat bama last year sec probably misses out on the final 4 and that scares the shite out of Birmingham office.

Believing in conspiracy theories don't make any one an idiot. But a naive person is one who believes the world is all peechy keen and that there is no corruption and prefers to live in a cocoon.
