I have seen nothing that suggests this game is played. Does he think this is baseball and they play mid week?

Why would Saban want to play us? They gain nothing by beating us 52-3. This is so weird .

The thought is that the SEC is going to have us play Bama next week and play ole miss on the same day as the SEC championship game. Everyone seems to assume this is the case but it is not official as of now.

To avenge last years game especially with what happened after the game. Not really that hard to understand.

The RUMOR is that, on Sunday afternoon, the SEC Office will announce a new schedule going forward. The RUMOR is that LSU will play: Dec 5 Alabama; Dec 12 @UF; and Dec 19 OMiss

Getting revenge on O and LSU for the "Roll Tide, F-You" comment?

Telling the recruits he is battling LSU for that last year was a flash in the pan...then proving it?

Obviously Alabama is going to win the West and doesn't "need" to play the LSU game. You could argue why even risk injury in that game when it does nothing for Alabama...this season? However, when you are a HC who has been so successful, you sometimes have to create "slights" or reasons to get your team motivated. LSU, rightfully so, celebrated lavishly after beating Alabama last season. A guy like Saban probably wants to crush any momentum on the recruiting trail LSU may have gained because of the win. A massive blowout of LSU could do that.

IF the Alabama game is played, it would behoove Orgeron and the program to show some pride and guts to stand up and fight...even if a win might be improbable.

Thought arky plays bama on 12/5. They would move all these games just for a saban revenge party? Wow. We are not rivals?

That would be moved to December 12th. Florida (likely SECCG opponent) also has a makeup game scheduled that day so it would make some sense that one team has a bye week and the other doesn't.

Why do people listen to this dip shite? He’s the worst. I know he doesn’t do the same thing exactly but Jacques Doucet covers all things LSU and BR as well as anyone I’ve seen.

they would move them because the SEC wants every possible game played.
that’s why they said remainder of schedule will be “fluid”.

they want every possible game played and on TV.
because you can bet your arse the TV $ for 2020 season will be re-negotiated at a Pro-rated amount based on games played.

I just don't see us playing Alabama or Florida.

We won't play Florida the week before the SEC championship if Alabama has a bye that week. That is not fair to Florida, especially if we haven't played Alabama.

Now maybe they reschedule the Alabama game in place of Ole Miss, but the thought of playing games the same weekend as the SEC championship game or after just doesn't seem right.

I know we are hurting for cash and playing games generates money for all, but with our current issues, I can just see them dropping Fla/Bama and us only playing 8 regular season games while they play 9 each and win their divisions.

The COVID numbers are only going to continue to spike and more cancellations could happen any given week.

I'll take a 5-3 regular season and then a bowl win to go 6-3.

The speculation is that LSU-Bama will get moved to Dec 5, and that LSU-Ole Miss will get moved to Dec 19.

The Bama-Arkansas game, which is scheduled for Dec 5, will be moved to Dec 12.

the SEC wants as many games played as possible, I suspect for TV money. I’d guess there are clauses in the TV contracts that if games aren’t played, the networks get to claw back some of their money.
