We have Baker. That’s who we have.
We fired Pelini. Thankfully. He gave up 630 passing yards in his first game back. On the day when we hing the 2019 natty banner. How soon you forget!!!

This is not a serious question, Pellini 2.0 was a lazy as Fuvk , Curley Hallman type hire.

Lane did that on purpose to put the game back in Blake Baker hands basically saying go win it. Lane wants a reason to bring his own DC in next year, he didn’t want Baker

Yeah, he didn’t want Baker so he made him the highest paid DC in the country and convinced him not to take the Tulane HC job

Lane was made to retain Baker. You can’t see past the hairs in your face I see.

They both cost us games. If we’re arguing degree of bad I’d say pelini but the end result is the same for both.

LSU gave Lane total control over the football front office, NIL, and coaching staff, but LSU told him he had to keep Baker? Make it make sense.

I suspect a lot of replies will be influenced more by Bo v2 than Bo v1. Bo advised O that we didn't have the personnel to run an attacking 4-man DL and wanted to stick with Aranda's 3-man DL personnel. O overruled. And voila, 2020 happened.

Baker without question. He can at least be average. The 2 worst defenses I've seen in my lifetime was 2020 Pelini and House. I'll give that LSU had it extremely difficult that year they were supposedly zooming defense sessions due to covid. But Pelini used LSU as his retirement. I don't think he has sniffed coaching since and it showed how much he cared. BK did the same thing. I don't think Kiffin is in that same wheelhouse he seems hungry to me.
