The data actually (although a minute difference) points to pocket passers getting injured more frequently than running qbs. The pocket is more dangerous for qbs than running outside of it. Dr edwin porres has some data to back this up

Makes sense to me. I have seen just as many quarterbacks get injured in the pocket as anywhere else. It’s football.

You have any data to back up this claim that “running qb’s get injured more”? Please give some examples. Surely Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, and Lynn Bowden got injured while being a dual threat qb in the SEC.

I don't necessarily that they get "injured" more, but they take more hits and can get banged up more often. Similar to what happened to Daniels this past weekend. Tebow and Newton were also much larger physically than Jayden. There are plenty of instances of QB's getting injured while running, Zach Wilson for example.

There's a reason that a QB in the pocket is considered defenseless. Much easier to get injured while in a throwing motion or with feet planted than when running and expecting hits.

With Daniel's speed, many of his scrambles are to the outside where he eventually runs out of bounds untouched. He'll eventually take some big hits, but so will every other QB.

He’s been trolling with this 10-2 thing for a week or 2 now for some reason. Ignore him—he’s not serious.

think the general consensus has drastically shifted after last night’s impressive performance. I’m not seeing anyone saying 9-3, or 8-4 anymore. Definitely no 7-5 predictions. 10-2 is what I’m seeing more and more of and after last night, that seems like a very solid prediction....

People need to slow the hell down.

UT is going to score points. That’s definitely not an automatic W.
Alabama is still Alabama and is going to be one hell of a tough test
Ole Miss is well coached and looks to be legit
Arkansas is also Avery good, disciplined team
UF is always a crap shoot
Auburn, they have voodoo man. I hate playing there.

I think Daniels has done very well, i feel confident in our offense if nuss were to have to come in. This season should be about watching this team grow and improve... its a culture change just like in 2000. and we know what happened after that..
