Orgeron is hopeful that his active roster will be able to remain healthy and available amid the coronavirus pandemic – revealing on Tuesday that most of his players have already contracted the virus.
“Not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it. I think that hopefully they won’t catch it again, and hopefully they’re not out for games
Hopefully that once you catch it, you don’t get it again,” he said. “I’m not a doctor. I think they have that 90-day window, so most of the players that have caught it, we do feel like they’ll be eligible for games.”

That may be true, but I believe "most" of the players not available for practice & the game are being quarantined due to exposure rather than testing pos for COVID. Contact tracing and quarantining doesn't take into consideration if you already had COVID

It’s contact tracing that is forcing so many players to sit not only here but at other schools as well.

CEO is a coach that says "coach talk" things, Story at Eleven.

Go listen to the Woodward interview he clearly states the issue isn't an outbreak it's contact tracing. SEC is working with CDC trying to come up with a plan to be able to test out of contact tracing based quarantine.

That’s some solid detective work there my man

I believe you are probably correct....BUT my question is if the games are important and this season means a damn thing why in the hell wouldn't they let all these players in quarantine do what Saban did....take 3 tests in a row and if they are negative you are out.
My take is there aren't a lot of people on the LSU side that wanted to play this game regardless of the COVID situation...probably rightly so.

Players aren’t allowed to test out. LSU is following the guidelines given to them by the SEC
But yeah LSU is scare to play

They had 4 positive cases. I would say that would quantify as most of the team not having it.

Why are coaches allowed to test out? It's even been said that the SEC is getting pissed at the players....why not afford them the same rules as the coach....seems dumb to me.

I'm not sure scared is the right term....I think they'd just rather not...It sure seems at least a lot of players have that mentality based on their play on the field.
ETA Also...Saban is in a more high risk group than any player on any team in the SEC...so yea don't give me the whole safety deal either.
You're telling me the league cares more about players than Saban.... ....something doesn't smell right here.

You are completely confused. Saban didn’t test out of contact tracing. Saban tested out of a false positive. Completely different.
Saban wouldn’t be allowed to test out of contact tracing either.

The players follow CDC guidelines. After 90 days of contracting the virus the players are treated as if they hadn't caught it yet. So, if a player got the virus in June or July and they were considered high risk close contact last week, then they must quarantine for 14 days.

Don't be Don Quixote.
Orgeron is a windmill just doing his job.
The real dragon is contact tracing.

Players who have previously tested positive are NOT exempt from having to quarantine if they fall within the contact tracing guidelines. So therefore, maybe O didn't lie at the beginning of the year. No way to know for sure.

Contact tracing is to inure the polity to mandated state surveillance and that's it. People who cannot see that are stupid.
