He does a good job of throwing strikes so that’s one positive.

what I said last night and its the right move. He's a vet whos been in this situation before. Cowan for 6 or 7 innings then let Evans finish it off

Makes sense. Has regional starting experience and allows you to bring Evans out of the pen where he doesn’t have to hold back

Tonight we advance to Supers on the back of vintage Zac Cowan.

His season high is 4.2 ip. I think if he goes 4 that should be good enough.

If he’s rolling, let him go as far as he can take you. He hasn’t thrown in two weeks so he ought to be fresh.

Bro this is an elimination game. He will go 9 if its under 120 pitches. Regardless of how much we are up by.

Makes sense, we will see if we get unhittable Cowan or bad Cowan early.

Nice change of pace for him vs the end of game high leverage situations he didn't do well in the past few outings.

Cowan is the right choice. Fill up the zone and make them earn their runs. Then Evans closes it out.

If he's on he will pitch more than 4 innings. He started last year, he's accustomed to throwing more pitches.

I’d be surprised.

Doing something you haven’t done all year is overthinking it. Cowan is capable, but I don’t see it.

Cowan is French for pussy. He is no pussy.

He goes all 9 if he has to.

Geaux Big Cowan!

Cowan pitched double digit innings on multiple outings in a span of like 4 days last year during the wofford conference tournament
The moment won't be too big for him

Do you ever have a good take?

We just gave up record walks in a game and Cowan doesn’t walk batters. Let your defense work, it’s elite.

That would be quite the stretch
