Did any of these previous cases happen in the great state of Louisiana?
Where would the suit be litigated?

He’s right, everyone in sports is laughing at us.
Woodward made a deal that LSU couldn’t make good on.

Pretty sure this is objectively false. Tennessee fired Pruitt for cause, Pruitt sued Tennessee and the NCAA, and he did not prevail
That said, LSU has no case here

So this happens fairly regularly, just not in such a public manner?
Got it. Agree to pay Kelly over 6 years and move on.

Mars has been running his mouth since the jump on this. I wouldn't call him unbiased plus he's factually incorrect about the for cause not holding up. Multiple schools have won that before, mostly for NCAA violations however.
Mars is a blowhard tho.

Doesn’t make him wrong. BK is likely to win this case if it makes it to court.

That doesn’t make him wrong but half of his tweet is factually wrong

Pruitt broke NCAA rules and regulations.
What NCAA rule did BK break?

what does that have to do with my post.
Mars said no school has ever won a wrongful termination lawsuit against a coach. That is objectively false.
I even went out of my way to say "that said, LSU has no case here." So what exactly are you trying to argue here?

It’s kind of ridiculous for him to say this. LSU hasn’t taken a position. Kelly filed the lawsuit. All they did was ask him to settle, which is not unreasonable. They are still paying him.

Apparently yesterday they let him know that they are planning to fire him with cause. Kelly filed the lawsuit because LSU fired him without technically firing him so they have time to try to find a reason to fire him with cause.

He probably meant no school has ever won a case like this where they fired a coach for losing / playing like crap then subsequently tried to figure out a For Cause reason.

Mars is who got Freeze fired with Cause, by suing ole miss on behalf of Houston Nutt.
Mars also sued the NCAA, remember when Justin Fields left UGA without sitting a year?
In a round about way, we can blame the current portal on Mars.
He wins... If that is his opinion, then that is probably how it will go.
