yeah and since 99 we've had either Nick Saban or Les Miles on our sideline

Serious question. Why? LSU is 7-3 over the last 10 games vs. Auburn. 5-0 in Tiger Stadium. LSU's offense last season was an inept as ever AND their (then) HC was once again terrified to go for the kill shot in the game at Auburn. Yet...if not for Les' clock management skills we all came to know and love, LSU likely wins that game.

Even though LSU's defense may take a bit of a step back due to personnel loses, it still should be pretty good. However, we now have an offense that at least will be willing to produce vs. the old offensive philosphy of "just don't frick up." A win isn't a given, but when it comes to LSU I'm not willing to give Auburn the same benefit of the doubt that Alabama has earned

I really don't understand the Auburn hype this year.

I agree. The other thing about that game is Aranda was still getting the D up to speed on his scheme. It seems Aranda has been here at least a couple years then you realize last year was his first. I think the D gets even better now that he's had more time to get players immersed into his system.

because they return a ton and we don't

because they have a flawed but somewhat proven HC, which is more than you can say for us

because Auburn has thrived with transfer QBs

because their QB issues were worse than ours last year. And they brought in a transfer who I think is pretty good. Gus' offense does well when he's got a good QB.

I'm not saying Auburn will beat us, only that I'm worried about that game.

these are preseason picks, before a game has been played. hard to argue with.

you never know what you got til you play some meaningful games.

People believe a little too much in Stidham.

Watched the K state game from 2015. 70% of his passes were bubble screens. Reminded me of the RohantoReed Bama game. He may win the Heisman but SEC defenses>Big12 defenses. Malzhans offense is successful with a true dual threat. Stidham can run but he isn't going to kill you with the run like Jalen Hurts.

well, they return a ton of starters and brought in a transfer QB that looks to be very good. Gus can do well with a good QB (hell, he even did well with Nick Marshall at QB). They just had nothing at QB the last couple years.

I'm not too proud to admit I'm worried about Auburn.

Thank You! At least somebody pays attention and doesn't sit around with homer goggles.

This isn't like preseason 2015 when the Auburn hype made no damn sense. Stidham is going to have the same impact at Auburn as Chad Kelly had at Ole Miss (on the field).

Athlon is utterly pathetic. Read their LSU summary, about half of it is wrong. Hence, I wouldn't believe those losers if they told me what day it was.

By the way, no way Auburn beats us in Tiger Stadium as Stidham will be running for his life all game.
