I call bullshite. No one is cashing out Pelini unless they are certain that O is true as advertised. Based in his success with Brady, Aranda and Burtow, I would say his future is still in doubt.

O abandons this man this fast and he will never luck into a decent hire again. You either hired the right guy are you didn't. You don't get to just take em for test drives.

I’m being told from multiple people that a faction of the larger donors are fundraising some money for a possible buyout of Pelini.

Don't believe you. Name them or go away.

Or if they can swing the buyout just let him go and move on...he’ll get some crappy mid major HC job which will mitigate the buyout somewhat anyway

I doubt it. He was marginally successful at Youngstown. We got him off the trash pile.

Was Pelinis interview done over beers and they discussed how their families were doing? Was an interview even done?

I don’t think they will. But if LSU fires Bo mid season it should come with the caveat that O can’t make the next hire. It would be the second time in 4 years he made a terrible coordinator hire and forced the school to eat a BIG multi year contract for for minimal work.

O is a recruiter and mascot. Always has been. Always will be. That’s fine. But it also means you can’t just give him a blank check and total control in his coaching hires. It’s too damn expensive for him to just “date” every coach around until he finds “the one”

The defense has obviously been horrible, effort and scheme.

But talks of this a few games after his hiring would look shitty on everyone involved.

7 million buyout

O should be responsible for paying the whole thing. He can pay for it over time. His decision, he needs to pay.

I don’t know what you do at this point besides try and get better as a team. If the fracture is so great that the kids will no longer play for Pelini, then the players are gonna screw themselves as well as the rest of the program.

NFL will get word on what players are quick to turn on their coach.

Quite the challenge on O’s hands.

Amazing how quickly Camelot crumbled.

That kind of thing never happens, but if he did it and it worked, O could at least regain some respect for admitting his mistake and dealing with the consequences himself.

People forget how much parity there is in the SEC. All is takes is a little slip or one bad hire and you can have a disappointing season and start losing to some teams you shouldn’t. This has happened to Auburn and Florida more times than I can count over the last 15 years. Now it’s us. That’s why Saban’s success at Bama is so impressive.

He needs to own it. The athletic department bailed him out once with Canada. O knows he can’t coach his way out of a paper bag. He’s just a rah rah character. If he doesn’t get the x’s and o’s Guys he’s fricked.

Yeah, and he has been exposed as a liar. A liar about Brady involvement last year, and about the off season performance of Pelini.

O needs to spend less time writing books and more time figuring out how to get a team ready to play football

Coach O is as good as his coordinators. It’s as simple as that. Ensminger’s offensive personnel is awful! He has Brennan throwing to Carter 4x per game it seems like. Plus RBs wide out just standing there.

Pelini doesn’t know what to do with the LBs, even though I still think Cox is really good, he doesn’t use he correctly. Mostly because Clark is awful!!

Other than that, Geaux Tigers! (6-4 here we come... maybe)

I can answer a bunch of these and I have zero sources:

quote:

timeline for getting rid of bo?

Any later than Monday is too late.

quote:

what names r u and ur sources hearing as replacements?

Corey Raymond or Bill Bush. You can’t bring in someone from the outside at this point. Gotta roll with what you got similar to E in 2016.

quote:

what players have issue w bo

All of them.

quote:

what does it stem from (besides his awful yelling)?

Besides the fact that he’s an a-hole? I’d guess the record setting horrible defense he’s putting out there. His schemes have left our players out to dry time and time again.
