At some point is now. But, there are several games left in this season and many openings out there. Existing coaches in the thick of things don’t want to make any announcements or moves until after the season. When the previous coach has to file suit to get what he contracted with LSU for is surely being watched by potential coaches.

I disagree but I also think if we can keep Frank Wilson, that would be huge. I also believe there are some great up and coming coaches that we need to look at. LSU could absolutely land some one like Fickell from Wisconsin or James Franklin. Offer them enough money and they will come.

These suits are common. The only ones making a big deal about it are you people and media beholden to other SEC teams.

Today. LSU is nuking its credibility in negotiations with prospective candidates with this shite show. I have been optimistic about the situation so far, but now I am done. The time to melt is now.

I agree but he is acting like a little bitch right now filing a lawsuit while LSU is actively paying him 800k/month. So he is getting paid and still suing LSU. frick Brian Kelly. I hope LSU does find cause and that smug little prick gets nothing.

I think they already are backing away. Coaches like to have a lot of control of football program. Kelly was not allowed to fire offensive line coach when it was clear was a buge problem.

Governor controls nearly everything in Academics and Athletics. Thats a huge red flag to coaches.

Now LSU is so disorganized they wont pay Kellys buyout in full with no paperwork. Now being sued.

I’m not saying it’s right, but they’re being petty. He definitely didn’t try, but I agree with you on coming to an agreement and pay.

Maybe I'm just out of touch because I don't recall ever seeing it reported that another school was being sued by the recently fired head coach because the school wouldn't pay what was owed. I do vaguely remember Chavis suing LSU for payment when he went to aTm but never a head coach.

Deserve has nothing to do with it, but we are contractually obligated.

No they wont lol. As long as LSU as resources in place and boosters willing to support the program, the new coach won't care what happened under the previous regime.

I agree on previous regime. However, the situation with the Gov, BOS, and AD has been a huge put-off for candidates and will continue to be so. Don't be fooled what is happening with the search has not been what the BOS expected/wanted. Which is why the promoted Verge.
