That narrative certainly has credibility at that point. But we’re not there yet and, quite frankly, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.
If Woody thought we were in real danger of getting hit in basketball, we would have self-imposed a post season ban this year.

The McMahon and Woodward apologists will be blaming Wade until the very end.
Wade will be winning more games and have more tournament appearances at another school while McMahon will be gone in the future. Unfortunately for LSU fans, this has a good chance of happening.

That’s all the NCAA can usually pin on head coaches smart enough to keep their distance and line up fall guys. It’s why they really go after the ones they do get some direct evidence on, like Pearl and Sampson. Both of them were accused of lying and hindering investigations (so is Wade) and both received show causes.

I would agree with you on three seasons if there was no transfer portal. But that has changed the game and teams can be rebuilt quickly.
If we see some improvements next season and we're not losing by 20 points every game, he deserves a third year. If not, why would there be any reason to assume year three would be any different?
Sadly, I think LSU leadership could give a shite less about basketball.

Unfortunately, we're having to eat this sh@$y men's basketball team and season because the AD decided not to stand behind a proven winner. So we will see if McMahon can ever achieve half of what Wade did here before he gets canned too.
