I agree. Was talking to my wife about this at the Ark game. We were looking up at Cannon and Stovall names in the southeast corner. I told her if We win and he wins the Heisman, next year during his team's bye week.

I'm sure many LSU co-eds could offer an artists conception for the sculptor

Considering he’s about to finish as the best football player in LSU history, you have to at least unofficially retire #9.

Jones

Faulk

Then you get to Burrow

A Heisman surpasses all of those names, and a NC cements it at the top.

Faulk won a Heisman?

No.

But he was a top-10 national recruit who signed with LSU when we were coming off six (6) straight losing seasons and shattered numerous LSU and SEC records, was an All-American and was instrumental in ushering in a new modern era of LSU football. His impact on the program was a similar type of paradigm shift as we are currently seeing with Burrow. He made it cool for Louisiana kids to go to LSU again.

All I'm saying is that Faulk deserves his due before we start putting up and current or more recent players in the ring of honor or whatever it's called.

At least until his NFL career is over. I doubt either he or LSU would want the distraction while he's still playing.

Oklahoma already has statues of Jason White and Sam Bradford, and they have plans to have Bakers and Murray's completed by 2021.

The statute will go up within a year.... #9 won’t be retired for many years. Old timer politics around TAF and administration.

Not long honestly. I will give it 5 years. He will have a statue as well. He's up there with Billy cannon right now as one of the best and most influential players to ever play here. If he wins the national title he will, as he should be, considered the best player in LSU history. He is a pretty big deal man. Burrow won't be forgotten and will be someone we tell our grandkids about someday and explain to them these unique and special times as tiger fans. He's somebody that should be forever etched in LSU football lore.

Within five years there'll be some form of permanent recognition either on the Ring of Honor, a statue or both.

It won't happen right away, but LSU has done a better job of honoring its former greats in the past 10 years. I'm sure Woodward wants to continue this trend.

Kevin Faulk was very, very good in college and had an extremely good pro-career; however, comparing him to Burrow is asinine.

3 time all American

The comparison is dumb. For the career, burrow has a ways to go before catching faulk.
