I realize the hype of this game, and I get it, to some degree. But, I just saw FSU vs. Oklahoma bowl game replay from last year, and it reminded me that FSU's last game was a last minute win over a mediocre 6-6 Sooners team. The Sooners quick tempo gave FSU fits. All the experts talk about how much better FSU got all season, but they almost lost to a 6-6 team in their bowl game. The Sooners also came into that game having lost 3 of their last 4. FSU played 2 ranked teams last year....us and Clemson. They lost to Clemson, and they barely beat us when we were a brand new team. Besides our corners being a question mark, I am feeling better and better about our game against FSU. The Sooners ran all over FSU, and our OL is so much better now than it was in our game last year. Just sharing some insights to help get us pumped up for the season opener, if you needed it. Geaux Tigers!

I’m interested in watching our run game. FSU will be the perfect test to see if we can move the ball on the ground. If so that should open up the passing game, and we’ll see how much better the whole offensive game has gotten. Geaux Tigahs!

We'll find out what the secondary is all about real fast.
Jordan Travis is a veteran college QB, and the Seminoles will likely attack the secondary early and often. A good pass rush could help those DBs out a lot.

Yes, and Georgia too. I’m looking for improvement. BK came in and cobbled together a competitive team last season. I’m hoping they are building on that. I think they are. We will see. LSU has the talent to beat FSU, but for some reason they’ve got our number. This should be a good game, and LSU should win. We shall see. Go tigers!

Bowl games aren't a great way to judge a team these days.

I don’t understand how you folks are still writing Florida St. off. They’re a very good football team. Talented across the board and veteran led. They are returning more production than anyone in college football. They should be competing for ACC championship and a spot in the playoff this year.

We will be in a dog fight the entire game.

I'm not writing them off. I think they're a good team. I've just got a feeling we come out and stomp their nuts in. It's only going to be a dogfight for the first half. We pull away in the 3rd and it's pretty much over going into the 4th.

Veteran led doesn't equate to wins. That was proven by good ol' Ed O. FSU has ability and talent. We have had that many times in the past 20 years.

Look at the records and results from last year, we should easily handle FSU IF we play up to our ability. We beat some very good teams last year, while FSU didn't really play anyone except us and Clemson. They lost 3 games - Clemson (11-3), NC State (8-5), and Wake Forest (8-5). We lost to FSU (10-3), Tennessee (11-2), Texas A&M (5-7), and Georgia (15-0). You could tell our lack of depth affected us against A&M and Georgia. FSU was 1st game with BK, JD, new OL lineup which changed many times in the first few games, no Emery Jones, etc. If we had FSU a month later, I believe we would have won. Just my opinion. We were no match for Tenn or Georgia.

I wouldn't say I am overlooking FSU. They can win. But, if WE play our game, FSU is no match for us.

True. But, it does when you add it to the fact of who they played in the season. Which was who? Nobody significant except us and Clemson. I mentioned the bowl game because FSU played their main guys and were still run over by an OU team using backup RBs. Their tempo gave FSU fits. It is something I would hope we do against FSU as well, especially since we now have the depth for it.

I remember a lot of FSU talk last year leading up to the game. I think it will be another tough close game.

We really shouldn’t have been ranked to start last year

Could be. They had the coaching advantage, returning talent and experience advantage, etc. This year, I just believe it will be different. Just my opinion

We need consistent pressure from the front 7 to impact Travis, dont know how good FSU’s front line is but I feel we can pull it off to help our secondary.

I think Maason Smith on the field is worth one less score for an opponent per game all by himself. Had he not.gone down, we would have been fine in that game.

Agreed. Let me ask...

Last year's secondary vs this year's secondary...both will be 1st game together vs FSU. Which do you feel more comfortable with talent wise?

Don't judge this year the team's based on last year's results; both FSU and LSU are two different teams.

That's not really true. Both teams are returning mucj of their players and coaching staffs this year. So, you have a good idea if what you are going to get.
