Rousing endorsement for our HC; "I don't think he'll shite the bed."

I don’t get the A&M over LSU predictions. Jimbo is a great coach but he can’t change the entire roster in year one.

There’s no reason for UF to challenge LSU this year either.

That leaves Miami, State, UGA, Alabama, and Auburn in order of toughness.

LSU isnt leaving Jordan Hare victorious without a Herculean effort and some considerable frick ups on Auburn’s part comparable to the 2011 team winning in BDS.

Alabama is Alabama and T’ua is even better than Hurts. The Tiger D should be fine at home but Ensminger and Burrow have to move the ball on that Bama D.

UGA misses some key starters but returns a loaded roster. LSU can match up their 1s easily but UGA will likely have more and better depth. Getting them at home helps.

State will be tough but last year’s blowout was an anomaly. LSU can easily go toe to toe with state, especially at home.

Miami is a paper tiger. Their defense was average last year. They have some talent at the skill positions but won’t be able to match up in the trenches vs LSU.

I see 9-3. UGA, AU, Alabama are losses.

I also should've mentioned I think just having Aranda on staff is good for one or two wins.

Those two little words expose exactly how far the LSU football program has fallen. To think that winning a game "at A&M" has become a totally unexpected event!

Miami is a MUST win. Whole season rides on that game. Lose and a 1-2 start is very likely and then it gets real shitty.

I would say we're headed in the right direction if we could go 9-3. Next year he would have to take another step though, 10 wins.

We win 8 games, time to turn up the heat. 7 games or less, time to pull the plug on this.

lose to every team we should.

How in the hell(as a tiger fan) can you let yourself post something like this. Who “should we lose to”?! Especially after a scenario like Miami playing really good but lose to lsu by 17? Then lsu beats auburn by a similar margin while looking really impressive! Im a lil reasonable with “expected” losses but how can a rational being lock us in for more than 3 losses when there are coaching/player changes across the conference and our schedule. 2 loss max.

Lsu roster and my optimism drives my thoughts

State will be tough

Yer not jes' woofin. That Miss St game comes sandwiched between Georgia and Alabama, and State is a very good team, enjoying a BYE WEEK ADVANTAGE coming into Baton Rouge. I can't see any path to victory for LSU.

Could this become the first LSU team ever to lose three consecutive games, all on its home field? It'll be hard to see O surviving the season if in fact that happens.

9-3.
1-1 against Bama & Georgia.
1-1 against Auburn & Florida.
4-1 against UM, A&M Arky, MSU & Ole Miss.
Hopefully we don’t have another Troy game.

I think you should probably flip Miss State and Florida in your groupings.

You know what my problem with “O”’ is?... Hes a position coach who didn’t earn the right to be the HC of the LSU Tigers. It was given to him unproven.

Then he gets up there at his press conference and gets emotional about being the HC and how he’s gonna work his arse off everyday, blah blah.. then goes and hires a joke of a OC who doesn’t fit the players ability.

LSU should have been able to get any realistically attainable HC in the COUNTRY, and they hire O the clown. Then he begs another old fart to be the OC instead of going get a proven play caller. Like him as a guy, but he’s setting the program back YEARS.

SEC has passed LSU by. LSU has always had the talent to play with anyone, but haven’t had a coaching staff since Saban to develop the TEAM. It’s fricking ridiculous.

downvote away.

You’re like a gnat. Just bother people. Don’t really serve a purpose.

Orgeron is a clown, based off facts and history and I’ll be in sec 237 of every game. Don’t let the truth get you all upset with us.

Ed has tampered with every OC he's ever hired trying to make them run the USC offense, even when the coach has no experience running that offense. And that's the guy you trust?

Assuming the three losses are to the big 3 and not in embarrassing fashion, I wouldn’t complain but also wouldn’t necessarily say it indicates progress.

9-3 would be just chalk. 10-2 would be a great success and I’d be thrilled. O would have put us in great position to get a NY6 Bowl and no one could deny it was a great year, the kind we hadn’t had under Miles since 2012.

Next year he would have to take another step though, 10 wins.

Now this I disagree with.

At some point, we have to make the leap. If we can’t get to 10 this year, 2019 becomes the make or break year for O the same way 2016 year was for Miles.

Either we want to be a championship program or not, and if we don’t do it in the next two seasons with the gift that is Burrow, I just don’t see why we would ever think it will finally happen in year 4, 5 or whatever.

History proves if you don’t win big early on in the SEC you don’t ever get there.

We can’t keep kicking the can down the road.

Now, if O gets to 10-2 this year, I would actually be more willing to accept 10-2 again in 19 because he would at least be showing consistently being in that NY6 conversation.

There is value in that.

But getting one NY6 bid in what would be year 3.75 just as our gift of an already developed QB graduates and we are back to square 1 at QB with another year of Aranda without going to Atlanta just doesn’t seem to me like we would ever get there at that point, especially if the rest of the West and Florida appear to be catching up under their new highly respected coaches.

As I have said many times Orgeron will be evaluated for his recruiting and he has 3-5 years to show it. If he does not recruit at a very high level he is out but if he does he will be successful.

You dont judge a Head coach on recruiting.

Can bring all the top talent in the world but if you dont win you're getting fired.
