Big thumbs up. Very fair assessment and honest without being a total dick like most of the posters here. Support the Tiger players and the entire staff. Let the season play out and have fun with it. Things will happen as they should either way. These clowns on here with the constant bitching can and will frick up a wet dream. Kudos for not being one of them. The players who bleed purple and gold surely deserve wayyyyyy better than what these clowns give them.

Last year, he has 1 win against a SEC coach that wasn't fired outside of BYU. The SEC was utter dogshit last year outside of 3 teams, maybe 4 if you want to count MSU.
If anything, on top of how recruiting panned out, Ed's history at LSU points to mediocrity or failure and not improvement over Les' last few years.

I don’t think under O LSU’s floor is 7-8 wins a year. The problem is I don’t know how much higher his ceiling is than that. They will never be horrible but they may never be good enough. I am willing to see how this season goes and then evaluate the future after.

Came to life on offense
The teams O played in 2016 with record and rush defense ranking:
W Missouri 4-8 (2-6) #118
W Southern Miss 7-6 (4-4) #53
W Ole Miss 5-7 (2-6) #117

W Arkansas 7-6 (3-5) #89

O and E did NOTHING that Miles and Cam wouldn't have done against TERRIBLE run defenses and likely did worse.
He ran up stats against TERRIBLE run defenses to dazzle idiots like you and Alleva and couldn't get wins against the better teams that he played AT HOME even though that is exactly why Miles was fired in September, to get those wins.
He choked away a Sugar Bowl bid against a dumpster fire Florida team in Tiger Stadium in 2016 and blew a 10-2 season and likely another NY6 Bowl in the weakest year for the SEC in history by losing to a Sun Belt team for the first time in school history.
He is 0-2 on achieving that milestone and will be three years in a row if he doesn’t do it this year.

I don't think he'll shite the bed for one reason, Joe Burrow. Without Burrow, minimum of 4 regular season losses.
People always want to yell defense this and defense that, but LSU had the #5 scoring defense in 2016 and still lost 4 games, only beating one opponent who had more than 8 wins (Louisville, who at 9-4, with 2 of their losses to Houston and Kentucky). Michigan had the #2 scoring defense in 2017 and lost 5 games, all to ranked opponents.
