Call me old school. I'm good with that.
LSU was a major part in giving him this future opportunity. A matter of respect and gratitude ought to be on the radar toward his school and warrior brothers.

Yep

This always gets missed, whether it be conversations about paying players or about stuff like this.

Where in that article does it mention his coaches, who taught him to use his ability correctly? His workout plan? The facilities within which to train? His nutritional support? Etc, etc.

If Greedy was still a dude on the street in Shreveport the NFL would NOT be on his doorstep. LSU made him the prospect he is now. It is not possible to get to this point without the support that college programs give, especially so if you don't come from wealth. Everyone forgets that.

He doesn't owe LSU anything? bullshite.

Greedy should have played because the NFL is a business and if he’s in it just for the money and not pride in himself the NFL will take note........

If he had a previous injury in HS or college I would be in total agreement .......

But even if he gets a big bonus he should still go back to LSU to graduate as he could easily get injured in his rookie season and he rshould set the example to all his children that an education is the only true way out of poverty...

Same song and dance as of late. Hell , there are many kids that are in the same boat. Many come from the same type of places. This is nothing more than a excuse . Total bullshite! So he is scared of getting hurt? Did he play scared all season or does UCF have harder hitting players than Bama? Just sayin

Devin White the only player in the history of LSU football to win the Butkus Award IS PLAYING IN THE BOWL GAME AND YOU SAY NO ONE ON THIS BOARD WOULD RISK MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO PLAY IN THE BOWL GAME. BOW DOWN TO DEVIN

The article was written as an emotional appeal to try and stop people from being pissed about him skipping the bowl.

This will appeal to the soccer moms and millennials.

National championships don’t really help most players and while it’s a memory they can gain, the risk is not worth it, especially at certain positions.

Switched bowl games to national championships. Does it change the narrative?

Greedy drew the line, it is a shitty bowl game against UCF. You people are insufferable.

Exactly...guice says hello too and I'm sure there are more examples. No reason to sell your team out especially when you are playing a position that is thin on depth chart also. He shoulda skipped the whole junior campaign if he was so worried about getting hurt. But no he needed this team to make him look better than he is for him to be in the position that hes in....but go right ahead may as well skip combine too and stop going to the gym also

I personally DGAF about greedy not playing, I’m not mad or upset about it at all, but...

You say this while praising him for skipping out on his team.. sort of hypocritical IMO.. greedy is one of the best players on the team, and I’m sure he’s had some sort of leadership role in the locker room, yet he isn’t going to be there

Complete opposite

Once you have money, you'll realize it's not everything and does not bring one happiness.

Greedy values rap culture over integrity and character. It's not entirely his fault but it is what it is

It's a great bowl and a chance to knock out a 25-0 team. That's pretty awesome.

Greedy will get a fancy condo, overpriced SUV, and $20k child support payment coming one month early

Tell me who wins? People like Devin White that's who

At the bowl game. Pretty easy to draw. Regular season is over, bowl practices start focusing on the upcoming year and getting younger guys work. Nothing else to be gained asides one last W against a shite school.

There is a difference between having a discussion and trashing a kid's character for making a decision he believes is best for his family.
