If Memphis beats Cinci and Minn loses to Wisc then that weakens one of OSU’s best wins in Cinci and the ranking of the team OSU plays in the big 10 championship. They would play a Wisconsin instead of a top 7-8 minn.

Last week LSU was ranked ahead of tOSU because of its slightly tougher schedule.
Arkansas weakened LSU’s schedule. Penn State strengthened tOSU’s schedule. tOSU passed LSU because of its slightly tougher schedule.

Y’all are missing the point. I want to stay #2. It keeps the motivation going. It gives us drive and focus that has been lacking since the Bama game. This was a tremendous gift from the CFP to the greatest motivator that LSU has had in quite some time. CEO is going to use this to the fullest extent. Bookmark it.

Arkansas weakened everyone's schedule that they played. Alabama played them too. Alabama does not have a win over a top 25 team all year. Auburn would be their first. And why is it a given that they beat Auburn? There have been better Alabama teams that lost to worse Auburn teams.

This clearly can't be resume-driven... and yet this last weekend was the worst weekend for Ohio State vs LSU by the "eye test" all year, as OSU slopped its way through a 4-turnover game to an 11-point win while LSU dunked a shitty Arkansas team.
I could have understood the eye test rationale all year, and still can for that matter, but flipping to that on exactly this weekend is bizarre. Which suggests that it's supposed to be a resume-driven flip, but that contradicts their own evaluations of the quality of each win.

This is based on the data the CFP uses
Eta- I would've been perfectly fine had Ohio st cane out and dominated Penn st, but that wasnt the case at all

If your eye test tells you that OSU looks better, my eye test tells me that LSU’s schedule up until this past week was twice as hard as OSU’s. As it stands today, LSU’s is still far stronger than OSU’s.

I hate Ohio State. I despise the obnoxious Ohio State fan base. Ohio State fans here always come in to the middle of an LSU game thread to tell everyone how great Ohio state is compared to LSU. frick Ohio State and its Rust Belt dung heap fans.
The only good thing Ohio state has ever done for LSU was to provide us with Joe burrow.

Their “system” appears to assign specific teams to a few committee members and get feedback about where they should be. That’s the only explanation for all of the conflicting reasoning for moving teams up and down.
The other alternative is they are going strictly by the eye test and have to come up with BS excuses for it
