I understand the idea that it doesn’t mean much for the real postseason, but a couple things to consider beyond slightly better seeding potential:

- Winning this tournament would be a huge boost for the team.
- Winning it proves we have a formula to win in Omaha. Playing 5 games in 6 days and potentially going 5-0 is great practice for Omaha.

Sorry been a little out of it, what happened to Jaden Noot’s comeback?

I could see something like this...

Saturday:
Dutton
Herring or Guidry if close
Loer
Moffett

Sunday:
Anderson
Coleman
Herring or Guidry if close
Hellmers
Johnson

Seem like a perfect spot for Cam Johnson to breakout.

I like that thought.

I would save herring, Guidry, and little for the final game late, but wouldn’t burn them for more than 2 innings. They’ll be fine if that’s the case, plenty of time to recover.

Pretty sure I can throw 75 but that would be my fastball.

Yes but wouldn’t it be cool to win it with the way the team played this year?

Most years I wouldn’t agree but let’s face it, LSU’s season was very disappointing by LSU standards. The chances of getting to Omaha as a 3 seed at another regional are very low. Winning this tournament would take some of the sting out of this year’s subpar performance.

On a year like this, when LSU clearly aren’t on the level as last year, I’d be thrilled at winning a SEC championship. We just were talking how awful this team was and had no shot at making it to post season play and now y’all are saying save your best arms because it’s just the SEC tournament we have regionals to worry about.

I was curious about our post season roster and if guys like Johnson, Bronzini, Noot and Bucknam were available.

He was a pretty good pitcher in HS and was supposed to be a two way guy at LSU. Saw him last year in HS playoff and he does have some pretty good stuff.

Yeah, maybe 70. One announcer would be calling me a change up pitcher and the other would grumble, "That's his fastball."
