Are you okay with letting Nuss transfer if it means we keep Walker

I’m okay with Nuss transferring if it means Walker is our starter next year. I believe that Walker is too good of a player to ride the bench and he will find another school if Nuss starts next season. To the crowd that says he loves LSU too much and is 100% LSU - take a look at Bo Nix. Auburn was Bo’s dream school and his father played QB there - just like Walker’s dad Jaime played QB at LSU. Players leave their dream school for more playing time somewhere else and it’s something that we see every year. If Nuss is named the starter for 2023, it would mean he likely also starts in 2024 and Howard isn’t sticking around that long to not play. I believe Nuss has an NFL level arm and would hate to see him at another school - especially in the SEC - but at this point if I could keep 1 of the 2, I’d want to keep Walker

It’s a delicate balancing act. We have to have 3 scholarship QB’s on the roster including Collins who is likely redshirting next year. Jayden and Nuss will not both be on the team. I don’t know this for sure, but I’d bet Walker will need to be the starter here pretty soon. If he’s the starter next season, we’ll have to go into the portal for depth and experience as insurance because Daniels and Nuss will both be gone.

Not sure why we think walker will leap Nuss on depth chart. I'll let the chips fall.

You’re absolutely correct about this being a delicate balancing act. I think Walker will start in 2023 and 2024 and then go to the NFL. I think Rickie Collins is the ultimate competitor and a dynamic playmaker - but I also don’t see him being okay with riding the bench for 2 years and if he sees Walker won’t be gone until the 2025 season then he’ll probably look for somewhere else to play

Really? I didn’t realize that. I thought it was where idiots post the same stupid shite several times daily promoting their own view of what the team should do/be, often heavily laden with abject ignorance, and often actually detrimental to the team if they read it.

How about these guys just all compete for the job and earn it? You guys always putting your favorite QBs up on a pedestal before they've done anything is too much.

That’s not how this works. I think if Nuss wants to leave that would be unfortunate but I’d rather him leave than Walker. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have this discussion

It is necessary that we keep Walker. I am a Daniels fan but it may be best for all parties for him to go pro. I would be fine with Nuss and Howard.
