re: Are we worried at all by A&M's defense?

They have given up 411 yards and 33 points per game in their 4 losses, which are the only P5 teams with winning records they have faced other than Auburn’s poor offense. None of the 4 teams they lost to have an offense as good as LSU’s. I am not worried about their defense. LSU’s defense is what worries me.

Nationally, A&M is 21st in scoring offense (34.5) and 25th in scoring defense (19.5). The most balanced team LSU plays outside of Alabama and Florida State.
They are loaded with NFL players in the front seven on defense and at wide receiver. They have a very solid offensive line and at least two NFL running backs. 1-85, A&M has just as many, and probably more, future NFL players on their roster.
We will get Petrino's unfettered offensive scheme and Durkin's unfettered defense. Playing LSU in Tiger Stadium on ESPN will motivate their players to play hard.
It will be an absolute war.

It was their Super Bowl last year, ESPECIALLY since they weren’t even going bowling last year.

They are a good defense that has been greatly aided by a schedule against pretty mediocre offenses.
As others mentioned, their front 7 is great and gets pressure on the QB which covers for their mediocre secondary. They also have not faced an offense near LSU’s all season, so it is hard to know how it will go.

Their “unfettered offense” put up 35 points and less than 500 yards on an FCS team with a losing record last week.

Tennessee ran the ball against them at will. Also teams with good receivers have torched them. My only concern is if they can run the ball against us and shorten the game.

They are #1 in the SEC in yards allowed (#8 in FBS) at 286.5 per game (better then Georgia). Looking back on their games there have definitely been moments when QBs have feasted (Miami's QB got 374 and 5 TDs).
the Jayden of last year threw for over 200 yards in the first half against Georgia last year on a bad wheel, and if not for another special teams gaffe field goal and a flukish pass bouncing off a players helmet for a pic the Tigers would have had over 20 points at half.
I worry about the what ifs...that's what fans like me do. But I just don't think anyone is going to stop JD5 this year.

No reason to worry anymore since the BAMA loss. Just enjoy the games and watching Daniels 2 more times..

How many times this year have we played “the best defense we’ve seen so far”?
And how many times did they stop this offense?
Bama could not stop us until the took Daniels out.

Agreed, bad snaps and a pass deflected at the line for an INT were the only thing that stopped JD.

They may slow down our offense and may even stop it for a quarter or 2. I’m worried about their offense. Our defense can’t stop shite.
