Defer against Clemson. The crowd will be insanely juiced in the beginning. Trust your D to get a stop or hold to a FG. Might suck a little air out of the crowd before we get the ball.

I feel like getting the second half kick return is better on the road anyway

So sick of giving up points in game 1 in the past years.

Absolutely terrible coaching. We almost certainly beat USC and have a better shot against FSU if we take the first-possession 3’s.

Bigger question- do we go for it on 4th down on the one again? Changed the momentum every time

if we go for it on 4th and goal from the one it needs to be two tight end set with them both releasing and running crossing routes . cant imagine that one of them isn't open

In most games I’d say defer. In this game, if we get the option in a hostile environment, give the ball to your Senior QB, go down and score and take some of the crowd out of the game. Momentum will be huge in this game and if we give them the ball first and they go down and score, their crowd will be rocking on our 1st possession down 7-0 and it could potentially snowball quickly.

I say get ahead early and stay ahead.

What happened that they couldn't score a touchdown? Please tell me at least that Ramos booted a +3.

Let them deal with the first game first drive jitters and make them execute when you know the stadium is still gonna be somewhat loud from pre game hype. Would suck if they drive it right down or hit a big TD but I’d rather that then go 3 and out and they also do that. Place will be unglued!

Ball on the 1 yard line, 4th down and you choose to run run 2 tight with crossing routes?

That’s why fans can’t call plays….

The middle of the field would have a hell of a lot of traffic across the middle. Safeties and LBs up the middle of the field… not to say it could never work, but you’re gonna have a whole lot of people in close proximity, and not a lot of throwing lanes.

On the other hand. 2 tights, bootleg to the wide side, have the TE release to the flats the WR cross behind him and sneak the tailback out on that side you might get someone to make a mistake…. Maybe get a favorable matchup with your tight end on a linebacker, hopefully the LB get sucked inside looking for the run…. QB might be able to just run it in, if the defense collapses on the middle.

Sitting in the pocket and crossing 2 tights behind those defenders sounds like a terrible idea.

People who ask this are ridiculous. Especially on a specific message board dedicated to a team. Fans can communicate with other fans as we. Deal with it. Is there a team without the support of fans? Griping about this or questioning this is so stupid. Why even be a fan if you can't say we? And then especially now with NIL funding and constantly asking for money. Players and coaches come and go, but fans stay.

I hope we beat Clemson. I hope we win all the games this season. We invest too much of ours lives into this to not be a part of it. Or to have fellow fans try and take this away from us. Oui, oui, oui.

BTW, how uptight of a person do you have to be to always avoid saying we as a fan. Sounds miserable to me.

I didnt say I wouldn't roll him out , im saying you want to get your big tight end running across and away from linebackers. any kind of pick will be hard to stop in that condensed area. its probably a little bit tight to do it from the one but I like it in the redzone on 3rd or 4th down instead of running it like expected

If the D is improved as advertised let’s get a good 3 n out to start! Then a nice 8-10play drive to score a TD. With a mix of runs, short passes and some 15-20yard passes to keep their D on their heels and take the crowd out of it early!
