Have yall heard what defensive scheme yall are going to be running?
Cause both Foucha and Brooks have been primarily zone players their whole career and have played underneath in our Drop 8 coverage.
Will be interesting to see how they do in more man coverages.

I would think they are signing players that will fit what we will do.

Have you ever watched the NFL draft? Isn’t it amazing that NFL teams actually draft players from non-powerhouse programs. You’d think that they’d know that the only players that can actually play in the NFL are guys from Elite programs. lol

I hate the fact we now live in a world where 2 starting CB’s from another school can just jump to a rival. It’s like free agency in the NFL except there’s no contracts to actually keep anyone anywhere…

Matt House loves Cover 3. I think zone guys are what we are looking for right now.

You don't think safety is a DB? You of the belief that only the corners are DBs? What about the nickel and dime backs? Are they DBs?

We will not have the talent to play a lot of man next year.

We have had the same problem the last few years. The cover 8 zone was out of necessity due to not having the speed or coverage ability, I'm hoping going forward we can be more diverse in our coverages.

I mean, isn’t cover 3 a form of man coverage? I guess it depends on the number of receivers or routes in that area though.
Cover two is more of a zone coverage to me, that’s more how we played it in high school though. We would have deep half safteys with corners playing flats or short routes.
Our cover 3 was ccorner has a 3rd ,saftey has the middle 3rd and corner has another 3rd.
That’s hard to do in college now days with the number of receivers though, isn’t it?
I’ve always thought their were cover 3 zones or cover 2 zones , usually the number has more to do with the safety’s responsibilities, right?
In other words you can run a cover 3 man and cover two zone .just using those two as examples, there are more
