In the end, he was as stubborn as he was delusional.

This is LSU. Do you really need to ask this question?

And there were 2-3 plays where if LF was a bit more patient, he'd could've housed it.

Yes I will never give him a pass for not changing the offense to suit the better of the team.
Offensive "Changes and Tweaks" over the Spring/Summer/Fall camp would have made the difference!

He apparently couldn't (Or blindly and stubbornly didn't want to) see at practice that Etling had "Light Years" more advanced QB'ing and "Quick Information Processing Skills" that were more conducive to SEC caliber competition.

Didn't want to hurt the feelings of his boy Harris by pulling him out as starting QB.

Like all of us that don't have our heads buried in the sand full well know, wretched excess ego and stubbornness gets coaches fired. (Ask Gerry DiNardo about the guy that authored "Complete Linebacking") Same concept here with Miles.

If DE starts the season, we beat both Wisconsin and Auburn easily. While he may not be Johnny Manziel on the field, he's got enough to win 11 games. With "SEC Caliber" Offensive Linemen that are coached up by an experienced OL Coach, we beat Bama as well for the 12th win..............

I didn't feel as anxious about any game this year.

It felt like we were playing with house money.

Nothing to lose.

NO. Teacup fans and a puss of a university president left us with Miles one more year. Plus it was a year where even an average coach has this team in the college playoffs.

I'm very happy as long as we win these last two games. The season will be worth it if we make a great hire

just couldn't score on BAMA. which a lot of teams haven't.

We held Bama to a season low that was 23 points lower than their next lowest point total.

On the other hand three teams scored more than 10 points on Bama and one of them was not us...

Aranda is how we held them. Pete Jenkins made our dline better. Other than that same old shite for offense in that game and pretty much weak arse opponents in the rest. The funny thing is people out there believe some miracle happened in the ICEO. What Ensminger did is just run the same plays we have been running for the last 5 years. Who would have predicted Mizzou, Ole Miss and Southern Miss be so bad as well as UF and now TAMU is banged up with their QB out.
Am I surprised? No at all. Am I glad Miles is Gone? Hell yeah! Am I happy about the fricking pundits spinning that bullshite to force us into a corner to hire ICEO? HELL NO!!

I swear I remember Harris being benched at the end of the first quarter of the Jacksonville State game. What game was Miles fired after again?

Was Etling healthy enough to play in the Wisconsin game. I thought that there was an story a week or so before that game that said he had suffered some sort of back injury. There sure is a lot of people complaining about Etling not starting that game so perhaps I'm wrong about him being injured.

But look at it this way. If Miles starts Etling over Harris for the Wisconsin game, and LSU still loses the game, people would be screaming bloody murder because Harris wasn't playing.

I'm not trying to defend Miles. He deserved to be fired, he needed to be fired for the sake of the program. The team has played fantastic since he was fired. But with a lot of posters, Miles was in a dammed if you do, dammed if you don't position.

Miles is gone. I'm estatic. I found it so ironic how he lost the Auburn game with superior talent. The prick never could manage the clock. So glad that's what got him fired.
