Support the program, no need for a refund. Geez

Yep. The same ones will be complaining when we don't spend the money on recruiting that Alabama does. But hey, they got their $30 back for a game that was going to be a blowout.

Its not like these were $400 BCS tickets or something either.
If you're hurting for money that badly, fine, get the refund. If you're not going to miss $65-25, just leave it alone.

How do you know who has tickets?
They aren't exactly hard to come by

Not sure if this is a good attempt at a troll or you are extending the haves vs the have nots argument.

Do you really think the game would have been called if they knew they would be refunding tickets?

Right? The nerve of some people wanting to get what they paid for.
As paying LSU fans we are a part of LSU athletics. That's what everyone says at least when it benefits them to say so.
LSU paid for this game. Since it wasn't played even though we wanted it and LSU wanted it, now people are separating themselves from LSU and want refunds?
I wish they had done more to make it happen on Sunday. But I'd rather the athletic dep keep the money bc I care about lsu athletics more than that money I already budgeted to be spent from my pocket

Yes.

They have insurance for that sort of thing too.

Wasn't looking for a refund nor was I expecting one but as it is they are putting the money back on my credit card without me having to do a thing so I'll take it. Does that make you mad?

Thank you, I feel the same way.
Fans and especially ALUMNI who understand what LSU's athletic department does for the academic side should just let it be and not put the program in a financial bind for potentially losing a few million dollars.
And anyone who thinks LSU won't find a way to compensate for the lost money with a moderate price hike in the near future anyways is delusional.
I guess I just can't wrap my head around fans blowing up the department's phones, wanting what's in the grand scheme of things not that much of a financial loss. I understand money is money, but as a fan I don't want to further LSU's competitive disadvantage against schools generating more revenue (example: Alabama makes nearly 20 million more in revenue right now.)
eta: I would feel MUCH different about the situation if LSU took money from the state and wasn't so generous towards keeping the academic side afloat. However, as an LSU student I would hope diehard fans would want to consider it a small donation for what it does.

Yeah, pretty embarrassing how people are clamoring to get like $40-50 back for a game they attended and was cancelled due to a force of nature. Just accept what happened and move on with your life.

That is EXACTLY where I stand. And if a season ticket holder feels compelled, he can log into the TAF website and donate it right back. How crazy is that?

That's fair

People bitch about the athletic department not caring about fans.
Plenty of fans don't give a shite about the department.

I could live with not being refunded for the tickets as they were not all that expensive.
Now the hotel for 2 nights and the 16 hours spent driving round trip .. that's another story.

I agree. You truly can tell a lot about an LSU fan's intellect by seeing how quick they are to blame Alleva on things.

I seriously doubt you have tickets. Most people who are bitching probably don't which to me is very hypocritical to call out fans who invest more in the team and program than they do.

Hey Cranium, learn how to fricking spell first of all. Its losing dipshit. Second, people pay to go to sporting events to watch a product on the field. If no product is produced then the fans deserve a refund. Whats so hard to understand?

They contribute $10 million plus to the university's general fund every year (which is considerably more than a lot of other athletic departments contribute). Next year they'll contribute $8 million instead.
