Does anyone know for sure exactly how much of the ticket price actually goes to the athletic department? I'll bet it ain't much of the $35 ticket price

100%, then they pay their bills. The bills stay unchanged regardless of weather.

Look, part of the risk you take by buying tickets to an outdoor event is cancellation due to weather.

So you are going to the first round of the masters and its rained out...you're shite out of luck?

nope..this is for a practice round in 2014...practice!

quote:

Purchasers of Monday Practice Round tickets will be sent refunds in May, and will be guaranteed the opportunity to purchase 2015 Practice Rounds tickets. Further information will be included with the refund.

“We are disappointed that our patrons could not enjoy today’s practice round, however safety must be our first concern. We look forward to seeing these patrons next year,” said Billy Payne, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament.

So because of today’s rainout, purchasers of tickets not only get refunds but also access to purchase tickets next year. Of course, this policy isn’t applicable to ticket prices from scalpers or hotel room buys. Sorry, folks.

Augusta National Golf Club puts the fan experience and safety all ahead of financial rewards. Is it any wonder that this place is so beloved?

This thread took a funny little turn for the highly intelligent, filthy rich, non-refund crowd. I'm warming up to ole Joe.

As paying LSU fans we are a part of LSU athletics.

Solid logic, do you also consider yourself a part of Walmart's sales division?

Guyz, our country is running a deficit, every single person in the US who claims to be an American should give all the money they can possibly afford to the government, in addition to the taxes they already pay- if they want to be a real American I mean.

You're doing it wrong.

Just stay, scream, and vote until your net tax liability is zero. Then complain about the roads, schools, and lack of cultural preservation.

Guy I sold my tickets to just emailed me asking if he could get a refund

Probably the same guy who first demanded for a full refund on 2 club seats that I sold him for $125 each. I'm sure he didn't eat or drink anything up there either. Hell, I was stuck in the club section the entire delay and we had a blast considering what was going on outside.

If so, sorry you didn't get yours. Take that 30 bucks and hit the Chili's. If you brought a date, take that 60 and upscale it at walk-ons.

Have you seen oil prices lately? The oilfield trash needs that $30. Or maybe, you are the OT balla that needs $30 to make this month's payment on those truck nuts.

If I hire 4 temps tomorrow to help clean up on a construction job and suddenly it started storming and lightning and we had to wait on the storm to pass through, do I have to pay the tards for waiting? May I ask for a refund on labor?

As I said, that's what fans say when it benefits them to say so. How many people say "we" when they speak of walmart? I'm not on walldroppings.com discussing how "we" can be a better store than target. I could give 2 shits about Walmart but we all care a lot about LSU.

My point was simply some people go from "we" to "me" very quickly in regards to LSU. You aren't getting your TAF money back, if the face value of your tickets for a game LSU payed for and tried to put on mean that much to you then so be it. I'd rather stick behind our guys and let the Ath Dep keep the money. Patrick Petersons donation instead of adding to program will now go towards covering your couple hundred dollars you want back.

I remember when Ariz St game got moved, they ended up giving you the option of a refund or you could donate it back to LSU athletics. I'm surprised they didn't give the fans that option this time.

I have tickets...have sine 2001. I was in the stadium until Dan called the game at just after 11. Given so few people were still there at that time with me, I'm going to out on a limb and suggest many of those with their hands out were long fricking gone by the time I finally left when they called it.

I'd have never asked for a refund for what happened...but that's just me.

There's absolutely no logical, objective reason for LSU to not refund tickets to an event which they cancelled- you're only argument is emotional and attempts to paint it as a moral choice, when it isn't at all.

You go ahead and send a few bucks extra if other people wanting their money back burns your a-hole so thoroughly, just don't get on your soapbox and try to tell other people how they should spend their entertainment dollars.
