I’m thrilled with CBK and he will bring us back to the top.

But you can’t help but admire Dave, the guy is so calm and professional. He will succeed, and I could see him winning a championship at one point in his career. Maybe not at Baylor, but another big program will snag him and he will make it happen.

Will always be thankful for his service here. I think 2019 was a lot of his doing even if he doesn’t get most of the credit.

If the stars align, he could win one at Baylor. They have the money and a nice recruiting base in central Texas.

At Baylor? What kind of championship? A conference championship yes. A national championship no.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he finished his career there. It’s a nice venue they have going on in Waco and the fans don’t want to fire you for losing a few games. I’m happy too that Aranda is having success. Seems like a good man.

Class act. Happy for him.

But he’s not winning NC’s at Baylor.

I think Dave is an exceptional coach. That said, he won’t win a National title unless he changes his recruiting and brings in more talent. He can beat a lot of teams with what he’s building, but not Bama and others with a similar talent level. You have to have great coaching, but you’ve got to have top notch talent, too.

I dunno. They seem crazed for success in sports. Like literally all sports.

I don’t know how they’ve done it but they’re succeeding in almost everything. At Baylor.

Basketball and football are different worlds.

Nobody can win a championship at Baylor, and I don’t see Aranda as the kind of guy that would ever look for other college opportunities. He retires in Waco, and good for them.

I could see them winning a natty with Dave.

Consider:
- Dave just finished his first normal season as HC. Not bad.
- Texas has athletes. And he can scheme on D.
- If they can get a difference maker at QB and some wideout threats, they're right there competing.

Aranda’s career will look like that of Bill Snyder or Kirk Ferentz. He’ll have a long, largely successful career. He won’t ever win a championship, but he won’t ever get fired. He might manage to pull “a Cincinnati” and get in the playoffs, but he’ll never win it all.

This doesn’t make any sense. He strikes you as a person that is going to be content with his first-ever head coaching gig and just stay there forever? Sorry, but the probably of this happening is super low.

Just talking but TX is not Kansas or Iowa.

IMO, it's not too far-fetched.

I’ve always liked him, and he’s done well as a Head Coach so far. However, we have yet to find out how well he will build the talent level at aBaylor.

Defense still wins championships, regardless of offensive innovation. Dave will win a NC somewhere.

Unfortunately they need to find a stronger conference to join. The big 12 is gonna be screwed when Texas and Oklahoma depart.

He already has the conference championship in his second year. Don’t act like the guy doesn’t know what he is doing and is also the most likable coach in CFB.

Aranada is like the backup quarterback - EVERYONE loves him and thinks he could walk on water.

Dave will have a good chance to win one at Baylor but not with Jeff grimes as the offense coordinator.
