He probably did that because he knows the ship is sinking.
Then why wouldn't he have just taken the A&M job?

What do y’all think nfl DC’s make?

What do y’all think 1st time nfl DCs make?

For reference he will get $2.3 mil per year from lsu.

That’s about $1million off of what some HCs make
Yeah, but 1-2 years of money isn't the deciding factor in your career path. Good NFL coordinators often become NFL head coaches. Good college coordinators don't become NFL head coaches.

He leaves no matter what in that case. Stipulations in his contract do not matter

Exactly.

And he probably told his agent that... his long term goal is not to be a DC. He got a better financial offer from A&M, so he emphasized the hidden money in the negotiations. Who knows what buyout A&M had in their offer; so if he's leaving in a year or two, the LSU deal might be worth more.

Hypothetically if Dave does bolt next year, would Raymond being promoted be a bad move?
Bad move.

He has no DC experience at all.

This is LSU. The SEC is no place for "On the job Training."

Raise your fricking standards.

This is good for LSU who is in much debt with buyout money.

Isn’t O getting on the job training? I hope alleva didn’t hire him for his past performance as a hc? I agree though LSU shouldn’t have to go that route but with alleva and Alexander all bets are off.

I do. Basketball team isn't ranked nor will it be by seasons end. I love all things LSU but quit crapping on people's threads with your pipe dream of LSU basketball being relevant this year.
