Seemsthe last two head coaches were pure motivators and not very good with X's and O's so they had to hire excellent coordinators. I must say Les did a better job of hiring coordinators than O. Why not hire someone who can coach up players regardless of whether he's constantly got a turnover of his coordinators hopefully due to great success?

Well as much as we bash Miles, he new one thing, the traditional 22 or 21 personnel power running game and play action off of it. Not that using that offense 100% of the time with no ability to go 4 WR and throw the ball is good for modern football, it is not, but at least Miles new that type of offense and ran it himself as an OC at Ok. State. LSU never under Miles got their crap pushed around by any non SEC teams nor could they ever not run the ball against those non SEC teams and any other SEC team not named Alabama.

The things you can count on with Les, despite him being a stubborn az... mule regarding the modern passing game were

1) LSU could run the ball effectively
2) They could stop the run
3) They played good defense.

I have not seen a non SEC team push LSU around like UCLA did last night since days prior to Nick Saban, probably going back to Archer days in 1990 vs Florida State Hallman days vs Texas A&M in 91 to 93 era.

LSU wins yesterday 52-0 and Coach O would still look bad for engaging with the heckling fan. You’re making almost 9 mil a year. As a professional and leader of a football team show some more tact and decorum.

I understand this line of thinking, but if we are being honest, I can guarantee you the majority of the fan base disagrees.

and promised to hire the best coordinators.

This sounds like the former LSU HC talking about hiring offensive coordinators before Coach O took the reins…Les Miles I think his name was! Look how awesome that turned out. The 2019 season was LSU capturing lightning in a bottle. Last year with the whole hiring Bo Pelini without even interviewing him and now this year with talking back to a heckling fan is in some ways worse than Les Miles: Les Miles was a creepy perv who wouldn’t adopt a modern offensive philosophy, but shite, at least he had sense enough to interview someone before hiring them and never talked trash to an opposing team’s fan. O has been steadily showing us his true colors since January 14, 2020. It’s going to get worse before it gets better. How much worse? Time will tell.

Y'all got duped. Imagine thinking that that would work long term. "I'm going to take less money so we can hire the best coordinators". What did you think would happen after some success.

I've accepted the fact that hiring O got us the 2019 season, and for that I am thankful for the hire. But I don't understand how anyone thought there would be longterm success.

He just spent 5 minutes explaining this. When he was hired he was going to have Dave Aranda and Lane kiffin as his coordinators and promised to hire the best coordinators. Now we have Durante Jones and Jake Peetz and he's running around with his shirt off, calling fans sissy before game day, and running around with a new woman in public every week. People have the right to change their opinion when the circumstances change.

Well jordy is an idiot and shortsighted.

Many people said before the hire, including myself, you can't build a program on always having the most elite coordinators.

Coordinator in itself is a stepping stone job for 99% of those who are in the position. A Brent venebles is VERY rare.

See how right that argument now has become?

Eta - I couldn't give a shite less about the "sissy blue shirt" comment. I care about the subpar product on the field.

The opening of the show was spot on. There are some who think Jordy is a blow hard, but he's not wrong in his PR assessment about O. It's one thing to reply , "Go Tigers" to that person, but to use the word "sissy" in this day and age is not a good look for him. Personally, I'm with Jordy. The wheels have to be in motion for a move.

This
Most people who are so butthurt about it is bc of their dislike for O
They look for anything to bitch about.

I don’t care about stuff like that
I care about not getting embarrassed on football field.
He doesn’t get that fixed quick none of his off field antics will matter anyways .

He mentioned there were pics of O and some co-ed that surfaced in the 24 hours before kickoff. These were NEW pics? Anyone have background on this?

I can’t find the pic on Twitter but O is walking down the street with a young blond woman. Not same woman he was in picture with in the pool a few months ago.

Amen. Saturday was atrocious. The defense was bad. But good God the O and the lack of a run game was frightening.

Then you missed half of one Wisconsin game and all of the other. Remember, the one that got the ball rolling on him getting fired? There was NOTHING good left about Miles by the end of 2015. He got what he deserved for lying to stick around until 2015.

O has his own problems and we all know what they are. There’s no reason to romanticize Miles into something he definitely wasn’t at the end in response to this, because you have the end of Les ALL WRONG.

The details may be different, but this looks like it may be ending the same way- two guys who are too fricking stubborn to get out of their own damn way and quit making mistakes.

Some of the allegations that he made, if true, are very concerning. The blackballing of the media, the power that this Ponansky guy holds and his lack of qualifications, and the way O used him to get the job. Shouldn’t this be enough to just clean house on top of the alleged cover ups by O, the immature actions of O, the terrible coaching hires, and a terrible football team?

No I watched it, LSU was in FG range and had a legit chance to win that game at the end. This game was over midway thru 4th QTR.

LF was hurt and still tried to play, probably should have given the guy whose name has been stripped from the record books.

I am not defending Les Miles, his offense made no attempt to have a modern passing game. But LSU did not let Wisconsin run it down their throats and that game was winnable in the last minute of the game, LSU was close to FG range before Harris threw the pick on an early down.

This game was over in the 4th QTR with 8 or 9 minutes left in the game.

Then Jordy is just as stupid as Alleva for believing in an idiot to be an effective CEO.

The true answer is Jordy was motivated by what would give him loads of access to the program so he cheered like hell for O and Derek. Just admit it Jordy

Jordy is a slimey journalistic shape-shifter. He thought it was cool before the game.
