Maybe. I think the remainder of season should be his evaluation, and next year as well. If he continues the trend of losing to the trash from Lafayette, and Tulane in midweek games than no, and I think he should be let go.
This is a sober approach. IMO, it's about winning natty's. And to win natty's you have to get close enough to compete for them.
If CPM does that at a high-enough frequency, keep him. If not, fire him.

He needs to Losen up, hire a real hitting coach. And give pitchers a few months Off a year.
Edit:If not, no.

As a Hog fan, it's clear that the bat change has affected LSU maybe more than some of the other teams in the SEC. However, with that said, PM can certainly win another Natty at LSU.

Ummmm well you also can’t see the level of potential talent on those future teams cause you don’t know who those players will be. Shouldn’t put those future teams down and label them as bad when they haven’t even stepped on campus yet.

Have an upvote, cause honestly I think ur spot on. We won our last title with the -3, c-core, z-core bats which I still have mine from High school, it sounded like shattered glass when u hit a baseball, and literally felt like hitting a meatball when u hit the sweet spot, but yea I think it had and continues to have an effect on us. Plus Skip used EAston, Lsu uses piece of shite mariucci, which I know they make MLB Wooden bats but there aluminum bats suck.

Negative posts about Manieri are nonsensical. This coach has had lots of injured pitchers and other players. What I see is a team who lacks urgency and the drive to get there. Talented freshmen not stepping up as quickly as hoped. Comparing this team to 2009 and 2017 they are no where close to even wanting to be there. The errors and batting is just killing us. The team has Not bought in to what is just expected at LSU. Who is whipping other teams consistently in the NCAA. Florida just got theirs and not good this year. Miss State is good a bunch of seniors playing together. But what coach is doing what you expect Manieri to do every year. Law of Averages can’t get even exceptional teams there every year.
