Trail on google goes cold after 2016 or so. I know he was a free agent and was released by Cincinnati, but after that, nada.

I saw today that he was posting stuff on Twitter about LSU pro day.

Damn shame what happened to him.

Would've been a really good safety in the league I think.

I wish he’d get into coaching...he seemed destined for greatness.

I agree. Feel bad for him. He was going to be a star in the league. And he was a great ambassador to LSU.

I was talking about him today.

My sister bought a new car which has a firewall and the engine breaks away in head-on collisions. She said she didn't want an engine that will just break apart.

Then I showed her CJ's leg that was on the brakes when the engine came down on it.

She likes that feature now. Still, it was hard for me to see Chad so messed up again.

I just showed that to an employee of mine after talking about leg injuries. It's amazing he still has his leg after that. I agree with others on here that it would be awesome to see him get into coaching....specifically to see that lead him to coach at LSU.

Will never forget him single handedly winning us that MSU game.

Also didn't he try out the minors in baseball recently? Guess that was short lived.

This is my favorite Chad Jones moment. Look how much higher he jumped than the other guys. What an incredible athlete.

It's crazy how when it came draft time Chad Jones and Demetrius Byrd both got in bad car accidents that messed up their pro career. At the end of the day I'm glad and I know they are both glad to still be alive right now after that.

I saw Chad Jones at a Pelicans game during the 2017 season. He was sitting courtside with Antonio Blakeney. So, he appeared to be doing pretty good as of 2017.

I remember when he decapitated Joe Adams. Good times.

I was at that game. That was a vicious hit. I loved the way he played. Also, loved how he dominated on the mound.

I was too. I remember everyone collectively just going "Oooooooooo!" I literally thought he knocked out some of Adams' teeth.

That was an insane hit.

You posting this led me in to a 2 hour wormhole of LSU football videos from 2007-Now and I'm not even mad. So many good memories even though the outcome wasn't always positive.
