I'm pretty sure he's the best leaper I've ever seen in an LSU uniform, including Dupree, who was a freak.

Better than Vernel Singleton?

Man, watching Jabari's highlights brought back some great PMAC memories as a student. That Arizona game was unreal not to mention Auburn as they were great that year. That was a fun bunch to watch and it was so easy to get liquor into the PMAC.

Anybody remember The Astronaut?

He could fly, but a smaller player on that team could get up too, was it Willie " the jet " Sims or someone else?

It's a shame some of you are too young to remember the "Astronaut" Dwayne Scales. He was a great leaper. Didn't have the pro career he should have though.

You’re correct, Tyrus’ vertical was 39.5 inches, Dupree’s was 41.5 the same for Ben Simmons. I’ve read Henderson’s to be between 42-45 but nothing confirmed, Vernells has been said to be over 40 and over 41 but also noting concrete from the NBA or anywhere els. Taylor’s is somewhere between 45 and 50, he’s the most explosive leaper we’ve had over at least the last 35 years and maybe ever.

Taylor is #1 and yes I’ve seen almost every player mentioned in person. Enjoy him while he’s here because his hops are once in a generation; maybe lifetime

Singleton, Dupree, and Thomas were all exceptional.......but Taylor’s hops are freakish.

Blast from the past.....Dirk Minniefield of Kentucky. Bonus Dickie V commentary

If you're talking about the NBA vertical where they take off on one foot then maybe. Standing vertical theres no way in hell.

50” is very possible looking at his film. He’s 6’6” so the top of his head would be 8” over the rim for a 50” leap. Fast forward to 1:27 mark. He’s a freak!
