Anyone else notice there wasn't nearly as many Bama fans as normal in the stadium?

UT took over so much during our game which I guess makes sense since they are good for the first time in a long time.

But Bama usually travels very well to BR but I felt like there were way less Bama fans than than normally over the past 12 years.

Yes. Very little Red Mist, a la the "Blue Mist" that Kentucky basketball fans are known for when traveling.

Their fanbase is spoiled. Smallest SEC visitor turnout I can remember the last decade. Also looked like they brought about 8 band members, couldn’t hear them from the north side. Pathetic

more surprising because this was the cheapest Bama ticket in over a decade for a home game for LSU.

Maybe because of the rain, but there were a decent amount for sale at face value or below.

It seems like a good amount of joylessness has sunk into that fanbase. Maybe it's just a natural byproduct of their unprecedented sustained success, but there hasn't seemed to be a lot of "fun" surrounding that program in a long time.

Tennessee and UGA rarely visit Tiger Stadium, so that explains why they brought so many fans. That said, it did seem that there were fewer Gumps in the stands than usual. I barely noticed them or their tiny pep band during the game, but then again, our fans were loud all night and drowned them out.

Noticed the same, but with this side thought...

The ones that were there were definitely right out of the cast of Deliverance .
Tons of fatties, more neck tats than teeth.

I noticed it tailgating. tennesee and Ole Piss fans were everywhere when they played here. barely saw any Bama fans.I think they are so spoiled that they dont even travel for games like this anymore.

They probably thought that the weather was going to be bad like the rest of us and when it was seen as being good, then LSU fans were not willing to sell...

It was great not seeing their arrogant asses all over campus.

Im southeast side section 306 and couldn’t hear them at all. Our band was drowning them out even for our ears

That was the first thing I noticed when I looked at the upper decks, all purple and gold where they is usually a scattering of opposing team fans. Lower bowl was not even in question. I know of a few people that placed ridiculous prices on their seats figuring if they found someone will ing to pay that much, then why not (do not agree since this would be the biggest game of the year, but not my tix). It was an incredible experience and still suffering from the constant yelling.

That’s what happened to the LSU fanbase. Hopefully a couple of lean years gets LSU fans traveling like they used to

Had two bama fans in front us and he was talking some light hearted trash before the game, you know the arrogant kind of talk. During the game he grew increasingly agitated, and kept reminding everyone around him it was a 4 quarter game. he started getting angry with his wife/ girlfriend because she was telling him to stop pouting and talking shite to the LSU fans around him. Needless to say he was gloating when they tied the game to go to OT, and then took the lead in OT. I told him, looks like it's a 5 quarter game. Then JD scores, he's in disbelief, and then the glorious ending. He took off as fast as he could, dragging his girl with him. Wish he would have stuck around for some ribbing, but the cowardly asshat was gone!

The row in front of me, 5 cowards were dressed in random clothes....quiet as a mouse until the 4th. Scared of being heckled apparently. Not one of them had any bama gear sans one guy who had a crimson Titleist hat. Well, they were given the business in OT by a few drunk tiger baws

We talked about that in my section. Our section no the west sidelines is usually overrun with fans from the visiting team. We had maybe 3 or 4 maximum in the entire section. I noticed purple & gold sprinkled in their fan alotment also. They know the rust is forming on that dynasty.

Downtown/French Quarter New Orleans on a Friday afternoon before a home game seems to always be a good harbinger of what a visiting crowd will look like, especially for teams coming in from east of us.

There were tons of Tennessee people this year. They were everywhere.

There were decent smatterings of folks for both Miss State and Ole Miss.

It was zilch for Bama.
