good defense was played by both teams. They won their conference last year and played us within single digits last year , they’re not a bad team

Yeah, some of these posters are not very informed with this “they shoulda been in the gym all summer!”
And HVL played basketball all summer. I believe Mikaylah played for the USA in a 3 on 3 tournament in Europe. And Angel played for the USA in an international tournament.
So no, they weren’t just resting on their laurels all summer.
