Amazing what a QB can do when he has little to no threat of pressure in the pocket. Zero sacks for Bama. CU had a lot of experience on that OL and talent too.

They were the unsung heroes of that game. We know how devastating Bama's Dline can be.

Seriously? It’s only been the number one or two topic in this board for the last 9 hours. Yes seniority and continuity really helps. Do you know what also helps? Having a scheme that keeps the defense guessing and allows you to play to your strengths

They aren't even that strong of a unit normally.

The creative play calling completely neutralized Bama's advantage on the DL.

I think they had adequate pressure but Clemson’s Oline did do a fine job, and their QB stood in there and took some hits early. The trenches on both sides of the ball are always key to winning

Also helps to have a future overall first pick in the draft as your QB.

But would 2018 LSU win with Clemson's OLine?

They did a good job, but it helped a lot that the white hat lost his little yellow flag. There was a LOT of holding and other infractions that were allowed by both teams, not just Clemson.

As long as they're treated the same, then it's fair.

Does Clemson lose with SE as OC and playcalling/scheme?

Better OL

He also had Open recovers and got the ball out quickly.

He also has a cannon attached to his shoulder so he can make throws off his back foot Some QBs can’t ever make.

There isn’t a single thing we do better or as good on offense

But it takes more time to build talent than hire the right OC.

Nope.

They aren't more talented. They have FAR FAR better coaching on that side of the ball.

That was an absolutely brilliant gameplan on offense. They threw dozens of different looks at Bama and had them on their heels so they couldn't tee off on the QB. It was beautiful.

Creative play calling? All of their big plays were straight drop back passes. Nothing fancy at all. The first long TD the Bama safety jumped a short crosser leaving the WR wide open down the seam. The second long TD the Bama corner fell down. It's like you didn't watch the game.

Zero sacks and 17+ ypc... I would say Bama did not put any pressure on him.

They were very good in pass pro (Clemson wasn't great in the run game). However, it also helps when your QB is throwing great passes in the face of pressure.

It's not as if Bama didn't get back there all game. Lawrence was just brilliant last night
